* 'Sweet' ingredients in baits have always been successful, but what are the reasons for this, and how can you exploit these to catch more carp? *

* The addition of concentrated sweeteners has a noticeable improvement on 'bites' over unsweetened ones. Baits with 'taste enhancers' like sweet or milk ones that promote the effects of milk sugars in your baits also seem more productive.

On the subject of sugars, carp feed very much on aquatic plants and these provide a very important part of the natural diet, in digestible cellulose; for soluble fibre and energy providing sugars.

Carp also feed on the most often abundant snails, mussels, shrimps and aquatic insects etc. These apart from their protein fat and mineral rich soft part have shells. Now is the really interesting part. If you add crushed shells to your baits, like cockles, mussels, prawn shells, you will open up the texture of your bait releasing amino acids faster.

But this also adds the 'chitin' content of the bait; a massively underestimated and naturally vital dietary component. When digested by acids this bimolecular polysaccharide supports many vital functions, process and structures in carp, from strengthening the immune system to maintaining a healthy and balanced liver function, to skeletal structural growth and repair. One clue is that chitin contains nitrogen; a building block of protein.

CHITIN and CELLULOSE are the two most abundant bimolecular molecules on the planet and these both being polysaccharides, might explain carps' attraction / or 'confused attraction' for sweeteners and sugars; e.g. monosaccharides etc. Glucose, honey, brown sugar, molasses, fructose, saccharin etc are proven carp attractors.

Carp can produce insulin in fat cells, and therefore can derive energy from sugars, so hard shells ingested do have a beneficial role, quite apart from just changing the texture of your bait.

A simple addition, like a teaspoon of turmeric, paprika, other red peppers, fresh ground black or white pepper, or crushed garlic, for example, make great, proven, naturally derived 'stimulator attractors.' They can trigger carp feeding response and digestion, especially of proteins.

It is not the 'odor' or 'smell' or 'flavour' of these (like garlic) that necessarily has a stimulatory effect, but the effect 'active components' in these ingredients have on the carps' sensory systems, nervous system, and on various vital processes within the carps' body. (Many are associated with chemical reactions providing energy.)

The red / hot peppers are exceptionally effective 'additives' as they trigger the 'protein feeding response' in carp, for example through triggering the electro-neuron receptors along the lateral line of carp; from a great distance in the water! This will motivate the fish to travel towards its source! (Your bait!)

Very many natural plant extracts, of the leaves, stems, roots, seeds, beans, berries, rhizome, etc, make amazing carp attractors. They contain substances that have powerful effects on a carp's body in tiny amounts. Like drugs, there are always effective, new totally natural carp 'attractors' waiting to be discovered, and there are many that are known to be very effective in carp baits, but are not very well known at all!

Most of these extracts when used as bait ingredients, give the carp a biological, nutritional or physiological reward for eating it too! Interestingly, many of these extracts are already used in tiny doses, to promote health and well-being in pet and bird foods. Your homemade baits whether, dough baits, packbaits, boilies, pellets or even dips, will definitely have a great 'edge' with a little bit of 'sugar and spice!'

* Giving carp the energy and nutritional requirements they need in your fishing baits to make them irresistible! *

Carp have an extremely developed and efficient metabolism of amino acids from protein foods and natural sources; and so this indicates amino acids are probably among the most important essential nutrients in the healthy carp diet, and our carp fishing baits too!

In carp bait making, you need to provide the maximum digestible levels of amino acids from protein ingredients to attract carp most efficiently and effectively, using various methods.

Sugars used in bait are perhaps most effective not for their energy content, but because carp prefer a bait that has been sweetened over an unsweetened one, even when all dietary needs have been met in an unsweetened bait! This has been proven in exhaustive fish feeding trials.

Carp are 'omnivorous' and can digest fair amounts of carbohydrates at well over 20 % of a bait content.

Many other 'Cyprindae' fish can also live on such a mixed diet, such as roach, rudd, bream, chub. Our practice of offering 'free' baits into the swim being fished helps attract carp feeding attention, not only by the bait attraction itself, but also by the activity of smaller fish bigger ones like catfish or tench.

It is a scientifically proven fact, that natural sweeteners like: glucose, sucrose fructose, milk sugars, (lactose,) molasses, brown sugar, honey, liquorice root extract, thaumatin etc, and artificial sweeteners like sodium saccharin and aspartame, are carp truly scientifically and catch proven feeding triggers!

Like salt and amino acids, sweeteners may work by ionizing the water in ways that carp especially prefer and can easily detect. Flavours affect the pH of carp baits and may also ionize the water surrounding carp baits, so making them enticing to carp.

It's also possible that alcohols flavours, with the addition of sweeteners in baits make baits far more effective. So why is this? Well, this area of chemistry is pretty involved, but similar atoms are arranged in different structural ways in fatty acids, oils, esters, sugars, alcohols and other similar carp attractive groups. These groups definitely appear to enhance one another when used in combination in carp baits.

The beneficial replication of natural fermentation processes:

Carp seem especially naturally attracted to fermentation processes, and these need to be utilised in bait to produce sugars and alcohols and 'side effects'. The curing and effective pre-digesting of such baits that produce easy to absorb, simple sugars like glucose, make energy source absorption in the gut faster and more efficient.

'Vanillin' of the synthetic 'Vanilla flavour' fame, belongs to the same functional group as the alcohols and has similar attractive effects on carp! The synthetic 'Vanilla' used as flavour in chocolate, (rather than the expensive natural vanillin extract), was an 'isomer' of eugenol of clove oil extract fame.

More recently 'vanilla' as a flavour is made from the fermentation of wood extract lignin called 'Talin' which gives a 'richer' flavour, than oil based flavours. I prefer to use pure natural extracts, in combination with other natural flavours like iso-eugenol from cloves as natural baits have better nutrition and 'feel-good' effects.

I believe that the more artificially processed an ingredient is, the less value to the carp it usually has, as in the case of wheat or maize flours which are often simply a carrier for an attractor or flavors combination.

Really attractive long-term carp baits have everything to do with maximising nutritional value within your bait!

Make your wedding a special day - for you and the planet. To help, we have put together a list of suggestions and pointers towards your ethical big day, from the ceremony and catering, to an eco-friendly honeymoon.

Ethical Weddings can include using:

• A venue operated on environmentally friendly principles or supporting a charity or community project

• A caterer using organic and local produce

• A dressmaker or designer using organic, hemp or recycled fabrics

• A florist working with organic or fairtrade flowers

• An environmentally friendly means of transport such as horse and cart

• Stationery designed on recycled or hand crafted paper

• Wedding rings that use recycled gold or fairtrade silver or by buying diamonds that are conflict free see Kimberley Process

• Not accepting traditional household wedding gifts such as toasters but accepting donations to charity on your behalf

• Using biodegradable confetti

Im now going to expand on a few of the points above:

Wedding Lists

The first casualty is the traditional wedding list, a monument to conspicuous consumption featuring dinner services and crystal to be replaced at fashionable weddings by charity lists, with tree plantations and donated cows for communities in the developing world. If you are green fingered, how about plants, trees or garden vouchers.

Wedding Stationery

Use recycled paper for wedding stationery, or try Recycled Paper. To save paper, you could design a website, and send a postcard to guests referring them to it. Wedding photos can be easier to share if you go digital too.

The Dress

Another option is to hire the gown and other wedding outfits instead of buying it and then putting in the warbrobe just to pull it out for the occasional look!

Drink

Buy organic or fairtrade wine for your guests and enjoy the revelry while nature and communities benefit. Order wine, spirits, champagne, beer and soft drinks from an independent online organic retailer while avoiding the supermarkets that make millions in profits.

Food

Support local, seasonal and organic food production - and ask your caterer to do the same. Avoid disposable plates and make sure empties end up in the recycling bin.

Ask your cake-maker or local baker to use local and organic ingredients where possible.

Transport

Find a venue as close to home as possible to cut down on transport. Horse drawn carriages are not only good at seaside resorts but also on your wedding day. If you dont have the ceremony and reception at the same venue, encourage guests to share rides to the reception or provide a coach or bus.

Honeymoon

Think about romantic destinations you can visit that are as close to home as possible to reduce the number of road and air miles. If you decide to go longhaul, then find an eco friendly or ethical hotel to stay in.

"If honeydew is ripe, then it is the king of all melons". Honeydew melons are considered to be more 'melony' and tastier than cantaloupe watermelon or any other variety of melons. One of the most popular melons, belonging to the cucurbit (gourd) family, honeydew melon is most closely related to casaba, Crenshaw, and winter melons. Honeydew melons are thought to have their roots near Iran (Persia) and/or West Africa. Although no specific data has been recorded to measure the produce of honeydew worldwide, the United States ranks third, behind China and Turkey in the produce of cantaloupe and honeydew variety of melons. This same variety of fruit is also produced in southern France, where they call it by the name, `White Antibes'.

While the honeydew plant is quite similar to cantaloupe except for more round shape of the leaf, the fruits are distinctive. They are round to slightly oval; about 8 inches long, and are extremely smooth with no netting or ribs. Some soft hairs are present on the surface in early stages. Rind color is greenish white when immature, becoming somewhat creamy yellow when ripe. The flesh is light green, thick, juicy, sweet, and uniquely flavored. A particular variety of honeydew also has orange flesh and salmon colored rind. Ripe honeydew is the sweetest of all melons.

Commercial varieties of honeydew have not done very well in the market, although the average per capita consumption of honeydew melons has increased each decade since the 1960s. The greatest success with their culture has been with irrigation in semiarid regions of the country. The humid conditions with accompanying diseases and insect problems have made them a poor choice for both gardeners and commercial farmers alike. The U.S. farm value of honeydew melons averaged $94 million during 2001-03. During this 3-year course, California produced 76 percent of the nation's honeydews, followed by Arizona and Texas.

A major difficulty in the process of production of honeydew melons is of ripening and harvesting the fruit. Fruits of most honeydew plants do not separate from the vine at maturity, as do muskmelons; so they must be clipped. The size, skin color and smoothness of the rind are the characteristics that are to be looked for in the fruit in order to judge its maturity. Gardeners should watch for the development of distinct blotches or streaks of yellow appearing on the creamy white surface as an indication for time to harvest. This should occur in 80-90 days from seeding to first fruit picking. Ideally, it would be best to harvest honeydew melons just before their surface starts to crack and still waiting long enough for the fruit to develop its full flavor. It is important to realize that cutting the fruit from the vine in an earlier harvest at a more immature stage reduces the cracking problem, improving shelf life and appearance, but results in fruit with lower sugar content and inferior flavor.

Whatever may be the difficulties with the proper harvesting, a ripe juicy honeydew melon has a lot of added benefits. Honeydew melons are packed with vitamin C and are a good source of potassium. Consumption of honeydew melons can potentially reduce your risk of developing diabetes, heart disease, cancers and strokes. The honeydew melons are also a favorite scented candle because of its refreshing sweet scent and pleasant aroma. So, the next time you look out for a honeydew melon, don't just thump and shake to check its ripeness, as you would have done with a usual watermelon. Improve the eating quality of uncut melons by leaving them at room temperature for 2-4 days. Once cut, eat the sweet and juicy honeydew melon within 2 days. That's the way to enjoy a quick healthy honeydew snack!

Before You Honeymoon In Costa Rica

Posted by Wealth Group | 3:03 AM | 0 comments »

There are many online companies that offer romantic honeymoon getaways on both the Pacific and Caribbean coasts of Costa Rica. Having just returned from Costa Rica myself, I would like to offer some suggestions that you probably will not find online or in a guidebook.

When we planned our trip, we assumed that most people in Costa Rica would understand English fairly well. At several hotels, the front desk clerks spoke practically no English. The same goes for bus drivers. The staff at the car rental agency spoke the best English. They were able to give us needed recommendation for food and site seeing. I highly recommend translating some key Spanish phrases before your trip, such as "Where is the bank, bathroom, hotel?"

The Pan American Highway runs through Costa Rica and is a reliable, well-paved road. However, many side roads in Costa Rica are very bad and full of deep potholes. I recommend that when you rent a car, take out the full coverage (usually an additional $20 per day on top of the regular fee). When you take the side roads, you need to allow more time to reach your destination. In some cases you may be only going 25 miles per hour.

Colones are the national currency and are very easy to translate into American dollars. If an item says 5,000 colones, just drop the 3 zeros and multiply the other number by 2. In other words, 5,000 colones is equal to 10 American dollars. If you need to convert other currency into colones, you can do that online at (Universal Currency Converter).

The rainy season in Costa Rica runs from May through December. Hotels are cheaper and there are fewer people on the roads and in the restaurants. My husband and I traveled in September, and experienced rain on only a few days of our trip. It would rain heavily for about one hour and then stop completely. We would spend the time indoors having a lovely Costa Rican lunch, and by the time we finished the rain was gone.

Bring a good camera and lots of film. Because of the rain, you will see some of the most beautiful exotic plants and flowers. The volcanoes are breathtaking and you can even hear the rumbling. The waterfalls are located off of the side roads, so drive slowly and allow more time. Even in the cities, you will want to photograph the ornate wrought iron that covers all the windows and patios in Costa Rica. After your honeymoon, you will want to have some of these amazing pictures enlarged to put in your new home.

A healthier way of living with raw foods

Posted by Wealth Group | 7:03 PM | 1 comments »

As we all know, the life of our body is the totality of the lives of our individual cells, and that only lively cells make a lively body. For a cell to be lively it needs first to be healthy, and this depends entirely on the way we consume our food. The latest research has shown that consuming raw foods is a healthier choice than cooking it and that all the nutrients are kept in their original state when heat is not applied to the food.

From the eighty million species that live on earth, humans are the only ones who tamper with their raw foods and because of this their potential life span is lowered to almost half, with an incredible number of ailments, from arthritis to cancer and other degenerative diseases. This also happens to our pets when we feed them cooked food.

Scientific researches have shown that eating a varied diet of raw foods like vegetables, fruits and different types of nuts can reduce the risks of cancers; also, using raw honey instead of sugar or sweeteners can also help reduce diseases like diabetes. Raw honey is world wide known for its many uses and qualities and it has been used since the earliest times in treating colds, sore throats and it is even now used in fighting the common flu.

A large number of people have adopted a raw foods based diet, the so-called raw vegans or living-food eaters, and once they made this step towards a healthier life, not even one has returned back to his old ways. Raw vegans are livelier, they think faster and more clearly, they do not feel stress as non-vegans do and their bodies are almost diseases free.

In the 21st century, people have started to show more interest in what they consume and how; now you can find a lot of interesting information about the ways available to improve your quality of living even online, on websites, such as where you can find a lot of delicious recipes and from where you can also buy a large variety of raw honey, all 100% organic. Imagine all the benefits of raw honey increased by the fact that it is pure and natural, with no chemical or tampering to its original state.

How can you follow a raw foods diet nowadays with all the temptations around you? This question was probably the most frequent one that occurred to anyone who has heard about living-eaters. And the answer to this question was probably "with difficulty". All around us, the countless fast-food places, with bright lights and tempting smells, can sometimes be very difficult to avoid noticing, but a strong will power can help you fight this battle. Even if you are not consuming raw foods just yet, you can start with small steps, like using raw honey instead of sugar with your tea or coffee, and then go even further, and give up coffee all together and all other foods that are harmful for your body and mind.

Humanity has grossly departed from its biological heritage, and is not living in accordance with the natural order of life. And the biggest departure is the diet humans eat. Every day, most people eat more than 100 different items and ingredients which they consider to be foods but which, mostly, are not true foods. The largest amount of what people eat is outside of the healthy natural diet and has been rendered toxic by the heat of cooking.

Informing yourself about the benefits of raw foods it is at hand and you can do it over the Internet, on websites like Maybe using raw honey for a start might not be a big step towards a healthier life, but it is definitely a beginning.

Organic foods diets

Posted by Wealth Group | 3:03 AM | 0 comments »

The foods that you can include in your raw food diet must fulfill an essential condition in order to be considered raw foods and that is to not be cooked at a temperature over 920 F (330 C) or 1180 F (480 C), depending on the form of the diet that you are under. The diet may include all types of raw fruits and vegetables, but also raw seeds and nuts. But the content of the diet may be increased also with raw unpasteurized dairy products like milk and butter; in addition, the diet can include raw meat, raw eggs and raw honey, which makes the raw organic foods diet easier to follow with all of its components.

A person that primarily consumes raw food can be called a "raw foodist". They generally believe that if raw foods occupy a larger percentage in someone's diet the healthier that person gets; it is a common belief that raw food heals many forms of sickness and a lot of chronic diseases. The raw organic foods that a diet contains may be also frozen because freezing allows the raw food to stay fresh.

The history of the raw foods can be dated back to prehistoric ages, before fire was discovered by humans. According to some, humans started out as vegetarians, while others think that the primary food source for prehistoric humans was raw meat. There is evidence to support both theories, because, given the locations that prehistoric humans lived in, their raw foods eating habits varied: the Australian aborigines ate very little animal products, whereas the Inuit people on Arctic coasts ate primarily fish and meat.

Publications that support the raw organic foods diets appeared in the early 20th century; they introduced research on the benefits that raw organic foods diets provide for a long and healthy life; some even conceived the concept of a raw juice-based cancer cure. If you adopt a 75% of raw foods diet you can help prevent all kinds of degenerative diseases, enhance your energy and boost your emotional balance. This lifestyle of raw organic foods diets has even gained a lot of followers between stars like Woodie Harelson and Demi Moore.

A lot of restaurants with raw organic foods exclusive menus have opened and enjoy a high success rate. Also, organic and raw based products can be found over the Internet available for purchase and are just waiting to satisfy your tastes and fulfill your desires in a healthy way. Products like these can be found over the Internet at a site that offers a variety of products that satisfy even cake lovers. All of their products are made from organic ingredients and therefore are organic foods. The team that is behind all the products has even been awarded prizes for its recipes in organic foods contests.

Preparation of raw food is not necessarily time consuming: it depends on the meal that you want to serve. Fruits, vegetables, meat and dairy products are the easiest to serve. But rice and other grains require to be soaked overnight in order to become digestible. Some raw foods that may need to be fermented require long fermentation periods like pickles and yogurt. Often needed tools for preparation of raw foods are a blender, a food processor, a juicer and a dehydrator. Some foods need to be dehydrated before consumption like crackers, bread and cookies, depending on the recipe. The overall process of preparing your raw food may bring them to taste just like cooked foods, making organic food diets easier to follow, leading to a much healthier lifestyle. However, you should take a lot of care when submitting children to these diets because there is still little research in this area and you should also seek the advice of doctors and nutritionists. The most common belief of raw foods consuming is that by cooking them you destroy the enzymes contained within, enzymes which are helpful for easy digestion. Also, cooking is believed to transform some particles into harmful chemicals.

We live our lives depending on commercial foods that have low prices. At some point in our lives we should consider switching from our conventional diets to consuming healthier products consisting of organic foods and raw foods also, even though it might not sound very pleasant. Health should always be considered a priority.

Planning An All Inclusive Honeymoon

Posted by Wealth Group | 3:03 AM | 0 comments »

When two people decide to tie the knot and start planning their wedding many times the post wedding honeymoon gets sort of forgotten. It's rather easy to see why this can happen because planning a great wedding takes time and can be one of the most stressful events of anyone's life. Just finding the time and energy to put together a honeymoon can be taxing. When you think about it though, you come to realize that after all the work and stress of putting a wedding together that nothing would be better then on or two weeks away from everything with your new spouse. For those who are pressed for time when it comes to planning their special vacation after the wedding an all inclusive honeymoon package may be the perfect solution for their needs.

Why is an all inclusive honeymoon a good idea for those who are pressed for time? It's got everything you need in a one price package. Once you have the package picked out and paid for you are done, all that's left to do is get married and then enjoy your week or two of romantic bliss with your newly minted spouse.

If you are looking for a romantic and relaxing honeymoon then an all inclusive honeymoon will have everything you need. You may need to make separate travel arrangements if the package does not offer them but this is easy to do with any internet travel service or contact your local travel agent.

An all inclusive hotel or resort will offer a base honeymoon package at a specified price that will include room, board and a meal plan. From this base package the soon to be newlyweds can add other amenities to their package which will add to the over all price. If, for example, you choose to honeymoon at an all inclusive beach resort the package you choose may include a suite with an ocean view, unlimited meals at their dining facilities, private beach access and unlimited access to any and all entertainment offered.

Chances are, depending on the resort or hotel you choose, you will have three or four all inclusive honeymoon packages to choose from. The final price of the package will depend on the amenities chosen. A cheaper package will offer a smaller room with a view of the pool while the more expensive packages will include a suite with an ocean view. For those resorts that offer a base package they will also offer a list of amenities and the additional cost those amenities will add to the base price. What you ultimately spend will depend on how the amenities offered fit into your overall honeymoon budget.

Make sure to read all the included information about your all inclusive honeymoon to avoid any confusion about what is and what isn't included in the package you are considering. Any questions you have need to be asked and answered before you make the reservation. You don't want to arrive at your resort destination and find the package you thought you were getting is not the package you are actually getting. The resort or hotel you are considering for your all inclusive honeymoon will usually be more than happy to answer any questions and help you choose the package that will make your honeymoon one to remember.

Romantic Escapes in the Poconos

Posted by Wealth Group | 11:03 AM | 0 comments »

Romantic escapes in the Poconos are a great choice if you live on the East Coast and are looking to throw a little kindling on the fire of your love affair.

Romantic Escapes in the Poconos

Sometimes, you don't want to have a beach escape for your romantic trip. If you enjoy the quiet setting of a wooded area, or the beautiful vistas that staying on a mountain can provide, there are many places in the United States that can fill your needs. If you are looking to stay in one of the most romantic and well-known romantic areas that are situated in the mountains, however, you only really have one choice: the Poconos. Romantic escapes in the Poconos have been popular for generations, and there's a good reason why.

The Poconos is a resort area that is located in northeastern Pennsylvania. Named for the mountains that it encompasses, the Poconos Mountains (which are actually a plateau), this area is made up of Carbon, Monroe, Pike and Wayne Counties in Pennsylvania. Popular as an area that is easily reachable from New Jersey, Philadelphia and New York City, people have been coming to the Poconos for years to enjoy the many outdoor activities that are available here. Skiing is also a big industry in the Poconos, and it is estimated that over 80% of all of the resorts located in Pennsylvania are actually in this region.

Romantic escapes in the Poconos usually take place at resorts specifically aimed at honeymooners and those seeking romance. The biggest resort chain that is situated here and caters to romantics is the Caesars Pocono Resorts – there are four, named Cove Haven, Paradise Stream, Pocono Palace and Brookdale. Named some of the world's most romantic resorts, the Caesars Pocono Resorts offer all-inclusive honeymoon and other romance packages for couples who want a romantic retreat away from it all. All of the resorts except for Brookdale are couples only (no children allowed).

The Caesars Pocono Resorts specializes in romance – so the rooms here are bound to be extra special. You can choose from themed rooms, such as the Garden of Eden Suite, which includes a heart shaped tub as well as other sensual delights, or one of the champagne tower rooms. These rooms house hot tubs that are shaped like champagne glasses, and are built especially for two. Most of the rooms include fireplaces, as well as round beds and pools and grottos. There are standard rooms as well, for couples who don't want as much of a themed room. Breakfast in bed is included with your stay, as well as other amenities like live entertainment, golfing, tennis and more.

No matter where in the Tri-State area or New England you live, the Poconos are easy to get to. Romantic escapes in the Poconos are a perfect way to enjoy a little spark to your life as a couple while not having to travel far away to some exotic land.

Marriages are made in heaven but honeymoons are planned on earth. Like a marriage is a significant part of life, the honeymoon is an important part of marriage. The honeymoon is to marriage what marriage is to life. One without the other is unnatural and unthinkable. The honeymoon is a very special aspect of newly-married life and holds a special place in one's heart even years later.

Days of labour and planning go into making the marriage ceremonies a success. Even the minutest of details are taken care of. There is planning for every element of the ceremonies.

The venue is planned, the trousseau, the caterer, the jewellery, the beautician, the gifts, the invites, the florist; nobody wants to settle for the second best while planning for the marriage function.

Why then settle for the second best for the honeymoon? A perfect honeymoon also needs proper planning. Many a time, the honeymoon is taken for granted and the couple makes a quick visit to a nearby hill station for a few days. This makes it a mere formality.

Even within one's budget the honeymoon can be made an unforgettable experience if there is proper planning. Here is what you need to do for enjoying a perfect honeymoon.

Decide on the budget:

One should be clear on the budget. There shouldn't be vagueness about it. It spoils the honeymoon. You should also keep a margin of five to 10 per cent extra on the budget, in case your stay extends by a day or two. The budget should include the travelling costs, board and lodging, sightseeing and shopping.

There are a number of destinations that can fall within your stipulated budget. Since the honeymoon is special to both partners, they can share the budget to make their honeymoon more luxurious.

Avoid Postponement:

Except because of unavoidable circumstances, the honeymoon should immediately follow the marriage as the partners crave for each other's company and want to escape the house full of guests. A delay can take away the fun and the spirit of escaping the crowd. So please go for the honeymoon as early as possible - but only after the marriage!

Check "honeymoon packages" with tour and travel agencies:

In case you are not able to arrange for the travel tickets and hotel bookings for any reason consult a good tour and travel agency. Such agencies have many packages available that can fit your taste and pocket.

Go for the destination that will suit the tastes of both the partners:

In a new marriage, both the partners try to please each other and give preference to each other's opinion. This seems sweet but is it all right when you are deciding on the destination for your honeymoon? What if one wants to go to a hill station, whereas the other secretly longs for the beaches? The honeymoon is a special and unique experience for both the partners and the destination should be the one that can offer something to both.

The couple should openly discuss the issue and settle on the programme that meets their taste.

Pack bags before marriage:

Since the days after the marriage are hectic, it is better if the honeymoon bags are packed before the marriage. If the destination is predetermined, then it shouldn't be a problem, since you will know the kind of clothes needed. The boy can pack his bag at leisure and the girl can pack her bag at her parents' place and carry it to her new home.

Before packing, a list of things that you need to carry must be made. This way you will be able to pack all the things that will be required. Last-minute packing is both stressful and exhausting. Who would want to subject oneself to this anxiety just after marriage?

Travel light:

Avoid carrying the things that you will not be requiring. Forget those novels! They are unnecessary weight and, believe me, you will not be getting the time to have your cute nose in a book when you have a new spouse beside you. The more luggage you carry, the more cumbersome it will be for you.

Carry clothes that are both practical and comfortable. Saris, my dear, are not really practical. What if you decide to go horse riding? Well-fitting jeans and trousers look smart and are easy to re-use without washing or ironing. Don't forget to carry a small first-aid kit and the camera to capture those precious moments.

Carry plastic money:

Carrying too much cash is risky and worrisome. Since most of the good hotels and shops accept credit cards, it is smart to carry your credit card or an ATM Debit card. You can always withdraw the cash as and when you need it. Also, avoid carrying too much jewellery. It is an unnecessary risk.

Two's company three's a crowd:

Don't club your honeymoon with other honeymooners. Let it be your special and unique trip. With other couples around, you might not get as much privacy as you are looking for. Politely decline the suggestion and go for the honeymoon all by yourselves.

Don't forget dear friends and relatives:

Remember to buy some knick-knacks for the people dear to you. By doing so you will be remembering them and making them a part of your special time. Don't go for crazy shopping, just some souvenirs will do.

Be loving, don't be judgemental:

A honeymoon is the time when a couple gets some private moments. They will get to know each other from closer angles. There might be some revelations about each other, some opinions, mannerism or habits that might put one off the other.

Don't let this situation exist during the honeymoon. Diffuse the situation as early as possible and avoid bringing up subjects that might upset the other. Talk of the things that cheer up the mood.

Also, show appreciation of the other, be it the way one dresses or walks or behaves. Avoid being judgemental at this stage. An entire lifetime is lying ahead for judgements, opinions, suggestions and improvements.

Remember, good memories will last forever and blossom like a flower in your heart, bad memories will also last forever but will feel like thorns.

So, people, plan your honeymoon well in advance, and make it an astounding success.

Good luck!

The Honey Bee. Foraging and communication.

Posted by Wealth Group | 11:03 AM | 0 comments »

Foraging. Worker bees visit flowers and collect nectar. The bee's mouthparts form a type of tube which can probe into flowers to reach the nectaries. The nectar is sucked up, stored temporarily in the gut, taken back to the hive and passed to the 'house' bees. These bees process the nectar to form honey. They do this by repeatedly swallowing it, mixing it with enzymes and regurgitating it. Eventually it is stored in the cells of the honeycomb.

The workers also collect pollen from the flowers. Their bodies become dusted with pollen from ripe stamens when they visit the flower. The bee uses its legs to brush the pollen from its body, and compacts it into a pollen sac on each hind leg. On returning to the hive the pollen sacs are released and stored in the cells. The honey supplies the carbohydrate and the pollen provides the protein in the bees' diet. The larvae are fed on a mixture of honey and pollen.

Communication. When a worker who has found a good source of nectar returns to the hive, she executes a 'dance' on the vertical surface of the comb. The dance takes the form of a flattened figure 8. The angle between the vertical and the flattened, central part of the figure 8 represents the angle between the hive, the sun and the nectar source. If the dancing bee waggles her abdomen during this section of the dance it indicates that the nectar source is some distance away. In the darkness of the hive, the workers follow the dancing bee round and learn the direction and distance of the food source. The dancing bee also regurgitates some of the nectar to offer the followers who, therefore, learn the taste of it. The scent from the flower might also help identify its source.

The Honey Bee. Organization

Posted by Wealth Group | 3:03 AM | 0 comments »

Origin of the three types of bee. The workers build three types of cell. Worker cells predominate. Drone cells are fewer and slightly larger. Queen cells are still larger and quite different in shape. They are made singly and often project from the base or surface of the comb.

The queen lays indiscriminately in all these cells but the eggs in the drone cells are unfertilised and develop into males. The eggs in the worker and queen cells are fertilised and develop into females. However, the queen is fed a diet different in quantity and quality from the workers diet and, as a result, develops into the only fertile female.

The queen produces hormone-like substances called pheromones or 'queen substance'. These play a vital part in suppressing the egg-laying propensities of the workers. Wherever the queen goes, she is followed by a crowd of workers who feed her and 'lick' her body with their probosces and so absorb the pheromones.

Swarming. When the size of the colony reaches a certain stage, usually in Spring or Summer when the nectar flow is at its greatest, the queen and a great many workers leave the hive in a swarm. The swarm comes to rest in a great cluster on a tree branch or similar situation. Scout bees, who may have left the hive some days before, seek out a suitable situation for a new nest and return to the swarm and communicate this information, whereupon the whole swarm moves off to the new site. Meanwhile, in the old hive, one of the new queens hatches out, mates, and takes over the colony that is left.

The Honey Bee (Apis mellifera)

Posted by Wealth Group | 7:03 PM | 0 comments »

The honey bee (Apis mellifera) lives in colonies of many thousand individuals which live in a hive (an artificially constructed 'nest'). There are three types of honey bee: queens, drones and workers.

Queen. There is only one queen in a hive. She is the only bee that can lay eggs. She is fed by the workers. She is mated by one of the drones and stores his sperms in a special sac in her body. This supply of sperms lasts for her lifetime.

Drones are male bees. Their function is to fertilise the next queen when she hatches. They do not collect nectar or pollen but are fed by the workers. There are only a few hundred drones per hive. In winter they are expelled from the hive.

Workers are female bees but they are sterile, i.e. they cannot lay eggs. There may be 20,000 to 80,000 workers in a hive. Among other duties, the workers construct the honeycomb using wax secreted from glands on their abdomens. The combs consist of an array of hexagonal 'cells' into which eggs are laid or nectar and pollen stored.

Eggs laid by the queen in some of these cells develop into larvae which are fed by the workers until they become pupae. The workers then put a capping over the cells until the adult bees are ready to emerge.

Workers' duties. The workers carry out a sequence of duties as they become older. At first they clean the hive by removing dead larval 'skins' and dead bees. Later they start to feed the larvae on nectar and pollen. After 10 to 12 days their wax glands become active and they build the cells of the honeycomb. In about three weeks, the workers leave the hive and go foraging for nectar and pollen from flowers. They take these products back to the hive and store them in the cells.

Landscapes are the most universal subject and the best selling genre for art around the world. The term "landscape" in Chinese comes from "shan shui" and consists of the characters for mountain and water. In the West, American landscapes have evolved significantly over the past few centuries.

The earliest landscapes in colonial America were either backgrounds in portraits or rural images painted for Europeans interested in the New World. By the 1820s, the vast landscape of America had come to represent the boundless promise of America, the opportunity for prosperity and the presence of God in nature. As America became more settled, artists also depicted homey scenes of farms and rolling hills.

More recently, images of landscapes have been the focus of a number of studies (Ulrich, Simons and Honeyman, 1979,1986, 1987) that have demonstrated that nature scenes reduce negative emotions such as fear, anger and sadness. Views of nature also produce positive physiological effects such as reducing muscle tension and blood pressure. Studies that track brain activity suggest that more alpha frequency brain activity (wakeful relaxation) occurs during nature exposures.

Research in hospitals has shown that landscape and nature images reduce the need for pain medication and increase recovery rates for patients. Other studies of individuals in confined settings such as students, prisoners and those in high stress work environments indicate the same positive effects from views of nature, whether these are actual views through windows or artistic images of nature.

The symbolic meaning of landscapes is related to the natural elements present in the scene depicted. The earth is symbolic of physical matter and the body. The earth is feminine, as in Mother Earth and Mother Nature. The colors associated with the earth are brown, green and other "earth tones" such as rust, sienna and umber.

The sun is the most basic symbol in landscape art and is the simplest—usually depicted as a circle. The sun is the source of warmth and represents the psyche. The sun is symbolic of spiritual illumination or wholeness. The colors associated with the sun are yellow and gold. The sun is the masculine principle and is related to time.

The moon is usually represented as less than full and is symbolic of the hidden aspects of life. The moon also has sinister connotations and is related to the unconscious dream world. The colors associated with the moon are yellow and silver.

Water is also a significant element in landscape art. Water has always been symbolic of the highest good in life and the source of life. Agricultural people have worshipped water in the form of rivers, clouds, mist and rain. In the West, water is symbolized by the colors blue, teal and aqua. In the East, the colors black and navy blue symbolize water.

Other specific elements associated with landscapes are mountains (symbols of strength and inspiration), rocks (symbols of safety, protection and refuge) and trees (symbols of strength and courage).

The ongoing popularity and proliferation of landscape art gives you virtually unlimited choices for decorating your home with the most popular art on earth!

Choosing Honeymoon Package

Posted by Wealth Group | 3:03 AM | 0 comments »

Planning for your wedding should not limit to the wedding day itself. You should also plan for your honeymoon. And with this, you should select the best honeymoon package that suits your interests and needs.

Choosing honeymoon package could be easy for some. But for those who are having a difficult time arriving on the conclusion, here are the things you should consider:

When choosing a honeymoon package, the couple should identify their wants. The couple should realize where would they want to go, what would they want to do, and what are the things they expect.

The question as to where would the couple wants to go, the possible answers would be the beach, city, countryside, exclusive place, wildlife, cultural tours, backpacking, and winter.

What to do depends on the place the couple would like to go. For example, the couple decided to spend their honeymoon at a beach. The possible activities could be an engagement on water sports and other water activities.

To make it easier, the couple can create a checklist that would state all the things that need to be answered by the honeymoon package they are about to select. The checklist would also give you the shorter route in arriving at a compromise. Cross out those that you do not agree with and retain the things that you both like to include on your honeymoon package.

Set your budget. Just before you go online and search for a particular honeymoon package you want to have, you should make sure that you have a set budget. In this way, you know what are your financial limits and you know what you can afford and what you cannot. There is no worse way to ruin your honeymoon vacation than spending more than what you have.

After setting your budget, do research over the internet. Look for several honeymoon packages that match your checklist. Select one on the basis of accommodation, price, options, upgrades, amenities, services, and duration of your stay.

If you have a pre-determined destination, limit your search on the particular place. Usually, each hotel in one area gives their won honeymoon package(s). The good thing is, prices range from the most economical to the most expensive and luxurious.

After you have selected the honeymoon package you both agree with, it is time to make reservations. Reservations can be made at least 3 months before your scheduled honeymoon. And before you go to the trip, make sure that your confirm your reservation. Happy trip!

Renting An RV For Your Honeymoon Road Trip

Posted by Wealth Group | 11:03 AM | 0 comments »

For the bride and groom who have plenty of time to enjoy their honeymoon, and want to avoid crowded airports and expensive hotels and restaurants, renting a recreational vehicle is a great idea. The couple can plan their travel itinerary to include romantic hideaways, national parks, famous museums, amusement parks, and even old friends. Even with the current price of gasoline, and with the vehicles getting between 7 to 13 miles per gallon, the trip will be less expensive then airline tickets, food, and hotel bookings combined.

Motorhomes are the most common rentals and are easier to drive since they handle more like a car. The costs depend on the size and age of the vehicle, the season they want it, and how long they need it. Some companies offer rental specials. Usually a reservation deposit is taken to hold the vehicle and is non-refundable.

Along with food, luggage and personal items, the bride and groom will want to include these items: cash and coins, checks, credit cards and ATM cards, maps and road atlas, binoculars, IPod or portable radio, laptop computer, spare batteries, camera and film, books, games and magazines, and a first aid kit.

It is not necessary to make reservations for campgrounds, but they can book up quickly during long weekends, holidays and in the summer. State campgrounds offer only basic facilities but may have the most beautiful scenery. RV Parks/Campgrounds usually have a pool or lake. RV Resorts are more expensive and may have a store on site, as well as golf courses, pools, laundry facilities, and hot tubs available. An increasing number are providing Internet, cable and phone hook-ups. After months of hectic wedding planning, a honeymoon road trip is a relaxing way for the bride and groom to start their new life together.

The most popular way to get to Catalina is aboard a boat from Catalina Express. They offer about 30 trips a day to Avalon from San Pedro, Dana Point, and Long Beach by the Queen Mary. Trips from San Pedro take just over an hour, and trips from Long Beach or Dana Point take about an hour and a half. Island Express Helicopter Service will deliver up to six passengers to Avalon in 15 minutes. You will enjoy the unbeatable views of the island, the mainland, and sometimes whales and dolphins.

Catalina Island is often called the "island of romance." There is no more romantic place to spend your wedding day than inside the Catalina Casino Grand Ballroom. The Casino has been the focal point of Santa Catalina Island entertainment since it opened in 1929. Restored to its original condition, this circular white structure is considered one of the finest examples of art deco architecture anywhere.

The Catalina Casino Ballroom is available year round for private events, and includes these services: kitchen and catering facilities; tables, chairs, linens, and silver; an elevated stage, raised seating around the dance floor, 1,400-person capacity, and a vintage full-service bar. Their sales staff can be contacted at 310-510-7497.

For a smaller wedding, you may want to consider The Avalon Hotel. Their rooftop deck offers panoramic views of Avalon Harbor and the charming city of Avalon. Both the rooftop deck and the garden courtyard (featuring a koi pond, exotic plantings and romantic landscaping) can accommodate 30 people. They offer Buy One Night and Get One Night free with their Internet specials. They will also give everyone in your party free tickets to the Catalina Island Museum. The museum is located on the ground floor of the Casino Building, and explores the island's rich cultural heritage.

One of the many wedding planners on the island can help you with catering, wedding cakes, entertainment, florists, officiants, photographers and transportation.

After the ceremony and reception, you will find most of the city's activity is centered along Crescent Avenue. You will notice that vivid art deco tiles adorn the avenue's planters and fountains. This coveted artwork was fired on the island by the now defunct Catalina Tile Company. Most restaurant and shops are easily reached on foot. Common forms of transportation are bicycles and golf carts, which can be rented from shops along Crescent Avenue.

In addition to shopping, dining, hiking, fishing and sunbathing, there is the Casino Point Underwater Park where sea animals cruise around kelp forests along the sandy bottom. It's a terrific site for scuba diving and snorkeling. The shallow waters of Lover's Cove are also good for snorkeling. Scuba and snorkeling equipment can be rented on or near Green Pleasure Pier.

Most likely your chosen destination will have their own website to give you details about weather, traffic, language, money, sites of interest, shopping and lodging.

These are some safety precautions that will give peace of mind to overseas travel:

· Read the Public Announcements, regarding travel warnings, on the U.S. State Department's website at

· Make 2 copies of your passport identification page in case it is lost or stolen. Leave one copy at home with relatives and carry the other in a separate place from your passport.

· Familiarize yourself with local customs and laws of the countries to which you are traveling.

· Leave a copy of your itinerary, including hotel names, addresses, and phone numbers with family so that you can be contacted in case of an emergency.

· Carry as little currency as possible. Instead use travelers checks, ATM cards and credit cards for your spending needs.

· Invest in a money belt that sits on your waist under your clothes. Don't tempt purse snatchers or pickpockets—keep your cash well concealed at all times.

· Some countries require an international driver's license or permit. An American driver's license is valid in most of Europe. Check with your local Department of Motor Vehicles.

· To avoid being a target of crime, try not to wear expensive jewelry, conspicuous clothing, or carry excessive amounts of money.

· If you get into trouble, or need more information about the area, contact the nearest U.S. embassy upon arrival.

· When choosing a hotel, make safety, not price or location your main priority.

Choosing the Perfect Bed and Breakfast

Posted by Wealth Group | 7:03 PM | 0 comments »

Bed and breakfast inns can be a charming addition to your honeymoon plans. They provide private and individually decorated rooms for their guests, and common areas for the use of all the guests at the inn. The innkeepers are usually friendly, well-informed hosts who can give you a wealth of advice and information about the area you are visiting.

When making your reservation, you will need to inquire about check-in and check-out times. Most B&B inns do not have a 24-hour check-in staff. Some inns have both shared baths and private baths. Most people prefer a private bathroom. Some allow pets or smoking, many do not.

If you have a more modest honeymoon budget, you can book a midweek package. This may include one or more of the following: two nights lodging (queen bed; private bath), full breakfast each morning, fruit and cheese tray on arrival, bottle of local wine, picnic lunches for two, passes to local resorts, and a box of Belgian chocolates.

The breakfast at a B&B should be flexible to some degree. Many are disappointed to find they are only offered a continental breakfast. And some inns ban in-room eating. These are questions you need to address before booking the reservation. (The inn's website will not necessarily give you the answers.)

Your innkeeper can make romantic restaurant recommendations and even make reservations in advance. With a local's knowledge, they will tell you the best things about their area that you won't see in the guidebooks. They will tell you what is overpriced and overcrowded in their area. They may even have coupons or discounts associated with restaurants, bars, museums, recreation and resorts.

On line you will find a wealth of information about Bed and Breakfast inns, at home and internationally. At there is a worldwide listing of bed and breakfast inns, lodges, cabins, historic hotels, guest ranches, and more. You can also search forums, read testimonials, and seek recommendations from family and friends.

Having a Wedding on a Very Tight Budget

Posted by Wealth Group | 3:03 AM | 0 comments »

With good planning, the bride and groom can have a beautiful wedding without spending a fortune. It may be more time consuming and require the expertise of family and friends. Here are some helpful suggestions that will get you started:

· Limit the number of guests. Some people prefer to invite adults only. You may have a lot of children in the family, and you want them to share your special day. Invite the children, and cut down on the number of acquaintances.

· Borrow your gown, crinoline, headpiece, veil, and shoes. Vintage gowns are very popular now, and your great aunt may have a gorgeous gown that fits you perfectly. Ask your relatives for these items and you may have a choice of two or three!

· Before you go shopping at specialty stores, check your local Wal Mart for the following items: fabric (including tulle), shoes, rhinestone and pearl jewelry, party favors, guest book, ring bearer pillow, napkins, tablecloths, silverware, candles, candle holders, and silk flowers.

· Invite your best friends over for an evening. Have each friend style your hair. Make sure you have your tiara or headpiece and veil handy. Let the group decide which style is most flattering and have a friend style it that way on your wedding day.

· Have your reception at the home of your parents or a friend. Platters of vegetables, cheese, crackers, meatballs, fruit, and party sandwiches can be made ahead of time at a fraction of the price of a catered reception.

· Borrow a trusted friend to be the wedding planner, disc jockey, photographer, videographer, and florist. Ask your friends what hobbies and skills they have. You might even get one of them to make your wedding cake!

· Check E-bay to find inexpensive bridal attire, bridesmaid gowns, flower girl and ring bearer outfits, unused party favors and decorations. Weddings that have been cancelled may offer large groupings of these items at a very low price.

· Everywhere you go, ask for a discount. If you and your three attendants are having your nails done, ask for a group discount. When booking a honeymoon hotel, ask for a package that includes meals, champagne or other extras with your lodging. Also ask for discounts and coupons to area attractions.

Honeymark has announced the introduction of an Anti-Fungal Solution that can be used for remedying skin and nail fungus conditions. Fungal infections are caused by microscopic organisms that can live on the dead tissues of the hair, nails, and outer skin layers. Fungus can exist in the nail bed beneath the nail and can be very difficult to eradicate.

Fungus is contagious and is often contracted at places like swimming pools, gymnasiums, public showers and locker rooms. You can even catch a fungal infection from one of your pets. Sometimes, the clothes we wear encourage fungi to develop, such as tight-fitting socks or close-fitting clothing. If left untreated, it can also spread to other parts of the body as well as infect other family members. Symptoms of nail fungus include brittleness, discoloration, thickening, shape distortion, crumbling of the nail and detachment of the nail.

"One out of every five people get a fungal infection at some point in their lifetime. Honeymark's Anti-Fungal Solution is an effective, natural and safe way to treat these symptoms." Frank Buonanotte, CEO - Honeymark International

LONG ISLAND, NY - December 11, 2006

Honey has been used in wound care since the ancient Egyptians. As more reports of its effectiveness are published, it is becoming increasingly popular as a modern wound dressing material. Laboratory studies have demonstrated the significant antibacterial activity of honey. In addition, the antimicrobial properties of honey prevent microbial growth in a moist healing environment. However, unlike other antiseptics, honey is said to cause no tissue damage.

Honey is 80% simple sugars (glucose and fructose) and 20% water. It contains vitamins A, B, C, D, E and K and many minerals, and essential oils and flavonoids contribute to its healing properties. Most honeys contain some hydrogen peroxide thought to contribute high antibacterial activity, but Manuka honey does not have peroxide. Hydrogen peroxide in honey is made by glucose oxidase enzyme added by the bees that becomes activated by contact with water. In commercial honey, this element is inactivated by exposure to heat. Honey has a pH of between 3.2 and 4.5, acid enough to inhibit or stop the growth of many species of bacteria. The healing properties of Manuka Honey are special because of high levels of enzyme activity.

"Although honey has been used as a traditional remedy for burns and wounds, the potential for its inclusion in mainstream medical care is not well recognized. Honeymark plans to change that. The overall effect of our Wound Relief Lotion is to reduce infection and to enhance wound healing in burns, ulcers, and other cutaneous wounds. We use Manuka Honey in our products because studies show that it has enhanced antibacterial activity." Frank Buonanotte, CEO - Honeymark International

Many clinical studies have demonstrated the benefits of honey as a wound dressing. Clinical observations of these studies are that:

* Infection is rapidly cleared;

* Inflammation, odor, swelling and pain are quickly reduced;

* Shedding of necrotic is induced;

* Granulation and epithelialization are hastened;

* Healing occurs rapidly;

* Scaring is minimal.

A Room with a View of Mars

Posted by Wealth Group | 11:03 AM | 0 comments »

The launch in mid-July of the first inflatable space habitat marked another milestone in the commercialization of space, and a step closer to the dream of a space hotel to be realized next decade. This article will review the origins and development of the first space habitat, as well as plans for the first inflatable space hotel.

Since the start of the Apollo space program and the first moon landing in the 1960's, man has been intrigued by the possibility of space tourism where a room in space could be booked as conveniently and cheaply as one on Earth. But this scenario may no longer be purely science fiction. Approaching half a century since Soviet cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin, the first man in space, reached orbit, man is beginning to commercialize the final frontier. Amateur astronauts have taken part in official missions on several occasions since the mid 1980's. Since the first space tourist, American multimillionaire Dennis Tito, paid in excess of $20 million for the opportunity to undergo extensive training and spend a week on the multi-billion dollar International Space Station (ISS) in 2001, three others like him - South African Mark Shuttleworth and American Gregory Olsen. The first woman space tourist, Iranian-born American Anousheh Ansari - have followed.

Until recently, the only way to reach orbit was either the space shuttle or the Soyuz space capsule. In 2004, Scaled Composites launched the first non-government-sponsored manned spacecraft, SpaceShipOne. Though the vehicle attained only sub-orbital flight, it opened the door to a new generation of privately-funded spaceflights. Virgin Galactic is planning to launch SpaceShipTwo, capable of carrying passengers into sub-orbital altitude in late 2008, followed by a larger version capable of real orbital reach a few years later.

Scoring a parking spot for your private spaceplane in orbit is a different story. The ISS, which is still unfinished (mainly due to the Columbia disaster), is not a space hotel and, although occasional tourists have boarded the Russian part of the station, it is first and foremost a scientific laboratory that will not be used to accommodate a large number of space tourists. Seeking to launch a genuine space hotel, hotelier Robert T. Bigelow created the space tourism company, Bigelow Aerospace, in 1999. Following seven years of development, Bigelow Aerospace launched its first inflatable space structure, Genesis I, on July 12th, 2006 using a Dnepr LV missile (a converted Russian SS-18 Inter-Continental Ballistic Missile) from the Yasny Launch Base in Russia. Measuring 4.4 m (~14 ft.) in length and 1.6 m (~5 ft.) in diameter when compressed, the spacecraft successfully reached a 483 km (300 mi.) orbit, then extended its solar panels, and inflated in fifteen minutes, expanding its width to a full 2.54 m (~8 ft.) in diameter. The Genesis I prototype habitat will be followed in a few months by Genesis II, a more sophisticated habitat that will carry more cameras (18 as opposed to Gensis I's 13). The next stage will be the larger Galaxy-class of habitats with a volume of 23 cubic meters, double that of the Genesis-class. The final ambitious step will take place in about six years with the launch of the huge 330 cubic meter Nautilus habitat, approaching the ISS's 425 cubic meters of usable volume. Launching this enormous 25 ton structure into orbit is a daunting task and Bigelow Aerospace plans to use a larger booster such as the SpaceX's planned Falcon 9S rocket to launch it into Low Earth Orbit (LEO).

TransHab test at NASA (Credit: NASA)

The birth of Bigelow Aerospace and its inflatable space hotel concept in 1999 was intimately connected to the conceptualization and development of a space habitat for the planed future manned Mars Mission. The so-called TransHab project was initiated around 1997 by a NASA team headed by William Schneider, a prominent NASA engineer. The 600 cubic meters required for the habitat would be too heavy and large to be lifted into orbit. Thus, Schneider and his team of engineers devised a light, inflatable module that could be loaded onto a rocket or the space shuttle, squeezed to about a third of its normal size, and inflated to its full size once in orbit. The TransHab concept was also suggested as a possible living quarters module for the ISS and, though finally cancelled by Congress in 2000, it became the basis of the Genesis-class space module.

TransHab in NASA's test facility (Credit: NASA)

One of the most important design features of the TransHab is its multi-layer (nearly two dozen), foot-thick, inflatable shell made of various extremely high-strength, lightweight fibers with numerous protective features. The outer layers of the shell break up space debris and micro-meteorites that may hit the shell with speeds of up to 7 km/s (about seven-times that of a speeding bullet) and shield multiple inner "bladders", which contain the module's air, preventing it from escaping. The shell also insulates against the extreme temperatures of outer space, ranging between 121 oC (250 oF) in the sun, to -128 oC (-200 oF) in the shade.

TransHab's MMOD structure (Credit: NASA)

The exterior part of the shell, called the Micro-Meteoroid/Orbital Debris (MMOD) impact shield, is composed of alternating layers of Nextel, a material commonly used as insulation, and several thick layers of foam, similar to that used for chair cushions. A particle that impacts the Nextel and foam layers shatters, losing progressively more energy as it continues to penetrate. Far inside the shell is embedded a layer of bullet-proof, lightweight Kevlar that holds the module's shape once inflated and surrounds three air-tight bladders made of Combitherm, a material commonly used in the food-packing industry. The innermost layer, forming the inside wall of the module, is Nomex cloth, which is fireproof and also protects the bladders from scratches from the inside.

Though public interest in Bigelow's space hotel concept is vast, space tourism will remain a costly affair for the near future, out of reach of most people. Thus, Bigelow is building on a number of other lucrative space initiatives; chief among them will be selling space on its future habitats to countries that are unable to afford their own manned space programs . Currently underway is the "Fly Your Stuff" program, an opportunity for paying costumers to send items (smaller than a golf ball) including pictures onboard the Genesis II. For less than $300, an engagement ring can be lofted into orbit where it will be filmed by one of the many cameras installed on the habitat, and returned along with a keepsake video. Perhaps, following a lengthy engagement, the honeymoon could be booked there as well.

TFOT interviewed Bigelow Aerospace Corporate Counsel, Michael Gold, to learn more about the development and future plans of Genesis I and Bigelow Aerospace.

A Strange Coule?

Sometimes the unlikliest couples are the ones most likely to walk down the aisle. Take, for instance, Jay McGraw – the oldest son of talk show host and self-help author Dr. Phil McGraw – and Playboy model Erica Dahm who were married on August 12, 2006. Jay, an author of his own self-help books for teenagers, met Erica while they were working on Renovate My Family, a reality show on the Fox Network.

Who would have thought that a writer and a Playboy model would end up being a good match?

Stay-at-Homes

The wedding was held at Jay's parents home in Beverly Hills. One of the large rooms was draped in thirty feet of sheer fabric covered in crystals to create the white chapel back drop. The couple wrote their own vows and exchanged them in front of a modest crowd of 70 friends and family members. Jay's father served as his best man while Erica's sisters – they are triplets – stood beside her at the altar.

Onwards to the Hotel

After the ceremony, the couple headed to a hotel for an incredible reception for over 400 guests.

Of course, you don't have to marry a Playboy model to learn something from their example. Actually, their wedding story illustrates that you don't have to say your vows in a church in order to have a beautiful wedding.

Even though your home is probably not as stunning or as enormous as the McGraws', it could still serve as a perfect location for your wedding. With some decorations and material from any craft store, you could transform your average living room into a romantic setting fit for a ceremony. And if you're not sold on using your home because it's too small, too full of pets, or has too little parking, you could always use the home of a friend or family member.

Backyard Tips

If you're getting married during good weather months, then you might want to consider having your wedding in your backyard. Arches, tables, chairs, aisle runners, and other elements can all be rented, so don't worry if your backyard's seating and décor are limited. Plus, if you start planning early, you could hire a landscaper (probably for a fraction of the cost of renting a church) to add some bushes, trees, or flowers to the yard to create a beautiful look in time for the big day.

The good thing about a backyard wedding is that the location can double as a reception hall. You could have a down-to-earth barbecue (catered, of course) under the stars.

If you like the idea of getting married in a house but not your house, then there is another alternative. Some cities have designated historical houses that are being preserved as tourist attractions. Many of these homes are available for special events, including weddings. To find out if you have a historical home in your area, contact your local tourism information center.

As Jay and Erica have shown, you don't have to travel far from home in order to have the wedding you've always dreamed of.

Guide Books For A Perfect Honeymoon

Posted by Wealth Group | 7:03 PM | 0 comments »

You've decided where to go on your honeymoon, but which hotel to choose? What to do when you get there? Where to eat? A good guidebook can assist you with all of those questions. But, how do you pick the book that best suits your needs? Travel books can be expensive, so it's important to choose wisely.

Types of Guidebooks

Travel books come in all shapes, sizes, and with emphasis on at least a dozen topics. There are books for adventure travelers, such as the Lonely Planet guides; books for restaurant fans, such as the Michelin red books; books for sightseers, such as the Baedeker series; and books for generalists, such as the Frommer's and Fodor's books.

How to Choose a Good Guidebook

There are so many choices of guide books. Consider the following when picking a guide book:

• The Scope – Does the book try to cover an entire country in 300 pages? In such a book, individual cities can't get a lot of attention. Consider, instead a book devoted completely to your destination.

• The Author – Does the author's bio read like a high school year book entry – or does it indicate a deep knowledge and experience with the region about which he or she is writing? Likewise, the absence of an author bio is not a good sign.

• The Brand – Just like automobiles, some guide books are best suited to certain tastes. For instance, the "Let's Go" series is targeted to student travelers and "Rough Guides" are designed for adventure travelers. Budget Travel magazine advises that if you aren't sure of a guide book's emphasis to look up your hometown in one of their guides to see what they cover.

• The Edition – The edition indicates the number of times a guide has been updated. It's usually found on the copyright page, inside the front cover. The more times a guide has been updated the better, because each revision adds a little more information. The first edition, almost by definition, just can't cover the entire range of information needed about a destination.

Buy, Rent, or Bid

Buying brand new guidebooks at the bookstore can get expensive. For the latest restaurant and nightclub information, a new book might be best, but if you're looking for sightseeing hints or weather information, a guidebook from last year may suit you just as well. The Tower of London hasn't changed in centuries, nor has the city's blustery weather. Look for discounted copies of "old" guides on bookstore remainder tables or at library sales and flea markets.

For planning your honeymoon, consider a trip to the local library. Although, libraries don't generally have the latest editions, they are good sources for background and sightseeing information. Plus, you can scour dozens of books without paying a cent.

Other good sources for slightly-dated guidebooks are the online auction sites, such as eBay. Although you'll have to pay shipping, many sellers get rid of "collections" of guide books after they return from their trip. I've been able to get dozens of barely-used travel books this way for pennies on the dollar. Try searches in the book section, such as "travel lot" or "travel collection."

Romantic Honeymoon Cruise Deal

Posted by Wealth Group | 11:03 AM | 0 comments »

You would agree that the best and the most special part of the wedding is the honeymoon. And there is no better way to make it extra special than by booking for a romantic honeymoon cruise.

However, taking a romantic honeymoon cruise might be out of your plan since you have the impression that it is expensive. Here's the truth: you can find the cheapest romantic honeymoon cruise if you will work for it.

Here's how:

Shop around like any wise and thrifty shoppers do. Treat the internet as a department store where you can find both the high-end products and the bargain ones. Take time searching from different sites that offer romantic honeymoon cruise package. If you find long enough, you will surely get the best deal that is worth every penny. Avoid booking directly with the cruise lines. There are lots of sites wherein you can compare prices of different cruise lines with the same destinations. Many internter travel sites can give you the best offer not only because they provide all the information you need but also because they offer discounted packages.

Off-season cruise. Different cruise destinations have different off-peak season. For example, the Caribbean cruise is off around the month of June while the Alaska honeymoon cruise is off during September and May. Consider this factor when deciding what cruise you should take and get the most out of the offered discount.

Take the interior rooms. There are usually 4 different rooms in a cruise liner: the interior, balcony, oceanview, and suite. Suites are always the most expensive. Balcony rooms are offered 40% to 60% cheaper than suites but some ships do not have this kind of rooms. Oceanview is cheaper by as much as 50% compared with balcony rooms. But the best deal of all is the interior room which is 10% to 20% cheaper than oceanview, 40% to 60% cheaper than the balcony room, and 60% to 75% cheaper than the suites.

Repositioning cruises. Usually, cruise ships are repositioned depending on the season. But, these ships still do business along the way. For example, an Alaska – Vancouver cruise ship is repositioned to the Caribbean, it still does a trip from Los Angeles to Mexico. Here, you can get a significantly cheap honeymoon cruise ship. The Royal Caribbean, Holland America, and the Carnival are some of the cruise liners that offer this type of discount.

Offline travel agents – If you are still unsatisfied with the price you see on the internet, you can check out offline travel agents and inquire on the possibility of cheap honeymoon cruise. Evaluate the offer and decide which is the best.

Honey World

Posted by Wealth Group | 11:03 AM | 0 comments »

Honey is one of the mysterious foods that have tickled the imagination of tech savvy people in this age. It is difficult for them to fathom how hordes of nondescript insects can produce such an amazing product. This wonder food is fascinating for more reasons than one, and scientists are trying to find out more uses of honey than those known so far.

Ancient civilizations also recognized honey as a truly marvelous food with many excellent qualities. At one point in time during the Roman Empire the Romans paid honey as taxes. This reflects the importance of this wonder food in their lives, even if it was not for the entire thousand years of their rule.

The history of humans and honey predates even the mighty Roman Empire. Paintings have been found in caves dating back over 9,000 years that have honey depicted in them. This is not really surprising since honey was probably the only means of sweetening food up until the time of refined sugar and molasses.

There are roughly 300 different types of honey available to consumers today. Honey is available in a wide assortment of colors and flavors. The color and taste of honey is determined by the flowers that the bees collected the nectar from used in making the honey.

In terms of chemical analysis, honey is essentially a form of naturally refined sugar. It is basically 38 percent fructose, 31 percent glucose, 1 percent sucrose, and 9 percent other sugars, though there can be some variations in the ratios. The remaining 21 percent of honey is made up of vitamins, minerals, water, and various amino acids. Scientists have shown a keen interest in these vitamins, minerals, and amino acids because of their potential medical benefits.

You would be surprised to know that the honey found beside the mummies had not spoilt and was absolutely safe to eat. The reason this honey did not spoil is because honey is known to have a bioactive agent in it that inhibits the action of germs and bacteria on it. This also makes honey a very good topical treatment in case of burns and other wounds. It can prevent the wound or burn from becoming infected. However a thing to be remembered here is that the bioactive agent of honey breaks down in heat and light. So honey should always be preserved in a cool, dark place if you wish to retain its ability to repel bacteria.

The most common form of honey is liquid honey though honey is available in different varieties as well. The process of collecting honey involves removing it from the comb using a centrifuge, straining, or just simple gravity. You may want to filter it to remove all the impurities and air bubbles. If you strain it, chances are that the smaller particles and air bubbles will remain.

Honey remains the only naturally refined sugar available and it has been part of human history since before recorded time. Able to repel bacteria and still be edible after centuries of being buried with mummies, honey truly is a remarkable food. The benefits and secrets of honey are still being revealed by scientists today and there may still be some medical miracles waiting to be discovered in honey that could really benefit all of humanity. Even if not, honey is still one of the sweetest substances on earth that is just a treat to eat.

Why You Should Invest In An Air Purifier

Posted by Wealth Group | 3:03 AM | 0 comments »

Do you know the air in your home has ten times more pollutants and allergens than the air outside? The reason is because the air in your home is not circulating. As a result, people with sensitive noses and those with respiratory problems may feel uncomfortable.

A good air purifier can solve the problem. It helps to circulate the air in your home and filter the pollutants, dust and allergens leaving the air clean and healthy to breathe. A good air purifier can also get rid of bad odors in the house.

However, there are many brands of air purifiers available on the market. The prices can also vary from less than $100 to more than $3000. So how do you pick an air purifier that is suitable for your needs?

There are a few points to take note when buying an air purifier.

You might want to check the MERV rating of the air purifier. The MERV rating is a standard that is used to measure the efficiency of an air purifier. A rating of 6 to 12 is considered good. This rating should be stated on the box of the air purifier.

Another indicator of a good air purifier is the CADR rating. It is a rating that can tell you the rate at which clean air is delivered. Generally, the higher the number, the better. It is also more expensive. On most air purifier boxes, it is usually measured against three contaminants namely, smoke, pollen and dust.

Another important factor is the air filter. You may need to factor in the cost of replacing the air filter since it is a consumable item. Some air filters for certain brands can be expensive too.

Ricky Lim recommends home air cleaners. Visit his site today for more info on portable air purifiers and room air cleaner.

How To Choose The Perfect Wedding Venue

Posted by Wealth Group | 11:03 AM | 0 comments »

The wedding venue puts the word 'perfect' in a perfect wedding. Its importance is the very reason why you need careful consideration before deciding on your perfect wedding venue.

Why The Venue Is Important

The purpose of any wedding venue is to establish the theme, environment, and ambiance for the entire ceremony. Therefore, these are the first decisions that need to be made. What is that theme, environment, and ambiance you would like to create for your wedding? If you are having some difficult getting started on ideas for your wedding, think back on wedding you have attended in the past. What were some of the things you liked? What were some things that you disliked? As you are considering these issues, make a list of those things you like and dislike also include any advantages and disadvantages you may note.

In the US, the available possibilities for a wedding venue, exceptionally suited to your wedding needs, are almost endless. Basically, once you know what theme, atmosphere, and mood you want to set up, it's just a matter of doing a little legwork. However, depending on the actual location of your wedding, you may have to acquire a license. In some international locations, outdoor wedding are not possible. All these things need to be considered.

As with any thing else, your research is essential to finding a great wedding venue, and it should be thorough and hand-on. Question your friends, family, business associates, and colleagues to refer their venues of choice. Start to compile your list of venue options. This is where the legwork, I mentioned earlier, comes into play. You will need to pay a physical visit to each one of these venues on your list of possibilities.

Check Them Out

As you start to develop your favourite from the list, visit the ones you like at different times of the day. By doing this, you get an idea of how different the venue looks as the lighting around it changes. Don't be surprised if a venue offers a food tasting. This is normal. However, a better approach would be to go to dinner at the venue's restaurant unannounced and observe the service and the quality of the food.

When you pay a visit to each facility and made your choice, make sure that the actual individual you are meeting with is indeed the person who will be dealing with your wedding preparations and questions. Further, expert wedding consultants suggest that any plans made with this individual should be put into writing, making sure to adjust this document as necessary with any changes. This all-important document is essential if, for whatever unforeseen reason, the individual you were dealing with leaves, you can provide the new individual with the details of your current plans. You need to be able to show this new person what was previously agreed to.

Other Thoughts

Negotiations are key to getting what you want and saving money on wedding expenses. Perhaps, the venue has specials or discounts cheaper days or seasons. You won't know unless you ask.

There are some things you should not compromise on when deciding on your wedding venue. Firstly, let's consider photo opportunities. It is pointless to go into the importance of your wedding photos. Everyone knows they are priceless. The venue should have picturesque surroundings. If you have already chosen a photographer, take them with you to visit the potential venue. Also as important, you need to consider the versatility of the venue. If you planned an outdoor wedding and it rains, will you be pleased with the quality of the other rooms and locations at your venue of choice. Don't forget to find out if the venue will be exclusively available to you on your wedding day.

Now that you are aware how to plan and choose your perfect wedding venue, you can now confidently approach this issue, make your decision, and enjoy your memorable occasion in a style only you can dictate.

How To Honeymoon - Environmentally!

Posted by Wealth Group | 3:03 AM | 0 comments »

Just a little bit of effort by travelers can make a huge impact on the environment. Often, it's the small things, the ones that we don't even think about …but ones we should …that make the biggest difference. Follow these tips for an environmentally sound honeymoon trip.

• Before your leave. Unplug your non-essential appliances, such as TVs, DVD players, microwave ovens, and computers. These modern-day necessities drain electricity even when they're not in use. Also, lower your thermostat if you're traveling during the winter and turn your hot water heater to its lowest setting.

• Conserve fuel when flying. Take-offs and landings use the most airplane fuel. Try to choose an itinerary with the fewest number of planes. If you're traveling a short distance, consider taking the train instead.

• Forget the car. Choose a centrally-located hotel and walk, rent a bike, or take public transportation to explore the city. You'll get a better feel for how the locals live and save gas also.

• Save energy at the hotel. Treat your hotel room as if it were your own home. Turn out the lights when you leave the room; turn up the air conditioning; don't let the faucet run while you brush your teeth.

• Reuse your towels. You don't wash your towels and sheets every day at home. You don't need to on vacation, either. Tell the hotel housekeeping staff that you only need the linens changed every three days or so.

• Eat Locally. Ask the restaurant wait staff to recommend dishes that are prepared with locally-grown ingredients, ones that don't have to be trucked – or flown – in. Drink local beer and wine, too. You'll have the added pleasure of learning about new foods and drink. Patronize sit-down restaurants rather than carry-out places that use disposable containers.

• Think before you buy. Too often those souvenirs that look fun and kitschy on vacation look junky and ridiculous when you get them home. Avoid adding to the nation's landfills by choosing your purchases carefully. Bring a canvas or mesh shopping bag for your purchases and forgo the ubiquitous plastic bags.

It is clear that the environment is going to become an even bigger issue than it is now. Honeymooners in the Alps cannot ski at the moment because there is no snow! Many resorts there are beginning to wonder what they will do in the future and whether the Alps will actually become a summer destination rather than a winter one.

This autumn in Europe is the hottest for many years. We have to care and change the way we act. The honeymoon is the start of a new life – so why not make it the start of thinking differently, too?

How To Design A Wedding With Wow Appeal

Posted by Wealth Group | 7:03 PM | 0 comments »

That Certain Something!

For guests invited to your wedding, it will only be those things that made them say, "Wow!" that they will remember. Whether, it is the flowers, lighting, music and location, the thing that made them gasp are the things that will be remembered. So now, you have to think about those things that can be done so you can steal your guests' breath away.

David Beahm designed the venue for Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones. This was the most talked about wedding for that year. David knew the Plaza as a venue came with a certain level of grandeur by attending guests. He fed on this anticipation by focusing additional attention where guests would have to gather to go into the main wedding hall.

However, the focus of David's efforts for impact and 'wow' appeal lay behind the entrance to the ceremony room. According to David, "Once people passed security, and ascended the beautifully decorated staircase, turned the corner and saw a huge, 20-foot wide tree adorned with guest cards hanging from beautiful ribbons. It was a real conversation piece, an immediate ice-breaker."

What Can You Do?

Initially, you should consider focusing your attention on those areas of your ceremony and reception venue that will be frequented the most by your guests. When you have identified these areas, then you can decide how exactly you want to design these areas so it can have a lasting impression on your guests.

True drama is guaranteed to leave an impression. For those who did not know, taking risks is all a part of creating great drama. Step outside of your comfort zone and get creative.

Be Creative in Design…

There are several techniques that can be incorporated into your design concept. Wedding designers utilize various creative techniques in lighting, candles, and flowers. Note also, that any wedding designer should aim to create a centrepiece that oozes with drama.

Designing for 'wow' appeal on a limited budget can be challenging, but with careful planning and creativity, wowing your guests is definitely a possibility. Go back to that abandoned public beach that you frequented as a couple when you first met. Now line it with Chinese lanterns gracefully hung on bamboo poles. There, you have just successfully created a romantic visual display of stimulating swaying lights, a guaranteed 'wow' factor, and, best yet, the location is available to you free of cost.

Whatever your location of choice turns out to be, try to instigate levels of curiosity in your design. Make your guests wonder continuously, "What's next!"

…And Timing

Delay the entrance to the main ceremony area. Creating a long winding romantically lighted trail in a tranquil natural setting can do this. Ensure that you have taken the time to select music that creates and compliments the ambience of your wedding. Do not overlook this important information. Do your research, and check out individual references you receive.

Finally, when all is said and done and you have planned your design, create it and sit back and enjoy the celebrations. You will hear about the 'wow' factors of your wedding for many years to come.

Sure, anywhere is romantic with the one you love, but some destinations just cry romance. Some of my favorites are:

1.Paris – What's not to love about the "City of Lights"? The city's architecture, parks, and monuments are beautiful any time of year. Plus, it's next to impossible to get a bad meal in this town. Add dozens of interesting museums, the picturesque Seine River, some of the world's best shopping, and that Paris charm, and you've got a winner.

2.New York City in December – New York City is interesting any time of year, but in December, when the city is decked out for the holidays, it's magical. The department windows feature charming holiday vignettes, the tree at Rockefeller Center glistens, ice skaters glide through Central Park, and the city sparkles with holiday lights.

3.California Wine Country – Just north of San Francisco, California's wine country is a world away from the bustle of the city. Many of the region's wine estates welcome visitors for tastings and tours, and the area boasts dozens of small and interesting bed and breakfast inns, many with views of the vineyards. Napa and Sonoma Counties are home to a surprising number of excellent restaurants, which make use of the bountiful local produce and vintages.

4.Tuscany – Speaking of wine country, consider a visit to one of the original wine countries – Tuscany. The rolling hills, just outside of Florence in central Italy, are home to hundreds of small wineries as well as picturesque stone farmhouses and casually elegant eateries.

5.Tahiti – These islands have captivated travelers since the days of Paul Gauguin. Explore the French flavor of Papeete or venture to one of the smaller islands, such as Bora Bora or Moorea. You can even stay in a private cottage built on stilts over the calm Tahitian lagoon. The friendliness and welcoming nature of the Tahitian people is legendary.

6.Hawaii – A little closer to home, but no less romantic, the Hawaiian Islands combine American customs with Polynesian culture. Add beautiful beaches, Trade Wind breezes, lilting island music, and dramatic volcanoes for a one-of-a-kind experience.

7.A Castle in Ireland – Spending your honeymoon in a historic Irish castle is the stuff of which dreams are made. Consider a stay at the elegant stone fortress, Dromoland Castle, which hosts many of Ireland's state visitors, or the five-star Glenlo Abbey Hotel in Galaway, with its rolling hills, championship golf course, and gourmet dining.

8.Bed and Breakfasts in New England – The New England countryside abounds in small, historic bed and breakfast inns and the region's scenery is enchanting any time of year – from the legendary fall foliage to the sparkling summer seashores. Explore the region's many parks and hiking trails; shop for antiques and homemade crafts in unique village stores; or sample fresh-from-the-sea lobsters, clams, and other seafood delights.

9.Turks and Caicos Islands – Just an hour's flight away from south Florida, these islands offer some of the world's most beautiful stretches of white sand beach. Plus, at least at this writing, they are much less developed than other Caribbean island resorts. In addition to beach activities, you can explore the islands' coral reefs, try your luck at one of the small island casinos, or dine seaside on fresh conch.

10.A Greek Island – From Mykonos to Corfu, from Crete to Santorini, the Greek Islands enchant with crystal clear water, simple and deliciously prepared food, white-washed buildings, and innate Greek friendliness. Plus, accommodations, food, and fun on the islands are surprisingly affordable.

Their Story

One of the biggest celebrity weddings of the year was, of course, the gorgeous ceremony held for Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes in Italy on November 19th. First, let's talk about what this high-profile couple did to make their wedding amazing, then we can discuss how their celebrity wedding could inspire your day.

The Service

The service was held in Bracciano, Italy. The area is named for the beautiful Lake Bracciano which does double duty as a tourist attraction and as the water reserves for the city of Rome. Behind Lake Bracciano is the 12th century Orsini Odescalchi castle where Tom and Katie actually said "I do." Just looking at the photos of the castle is enough to conjure up thoughts of fairytales and princesses.

Gowns and Suits

Of course, if you're going to get married in a castle, you need to be dressed like a princess and Katie definitely was in her ivory silk off-the-shoulder gown made by Giorgio Armani. In fact, everyone in the wedding party, plus Tom and Katie's 7 month old daughter Suri, wore outfits designed by Armani for the occasion.

Not surprisingly, the ceremony was conducted by a Scientology minister. Most of the aspects of a Scientology ceremony do not differ greatly from those of the more familiar Christian ceremonies, except guests play a role in the service must agree to recognize their union. Tom and Katie would have also been asked to agree never to go to bed angry and the rings have special significance: they serve as a reminder to continue growing closer to one another.

And Finally

Italian singer Andrea Bocelli serenaded the couple in front of their reception guests and after everything else fireworks went off over the castle to signal the end of the evening. The happy couple left Rome the next morning to start their honeymoon in the Maldives.

So - Over to You

So how can you capture some of this same magic in your own wedding at a price that is affordable?

Look for an unusual and romantic setting – a botanical garden with lakes, flowers and interesting buildings perhaps?

Find a local seamstress, show her the designs of Katie's dress and let her loose!

Scientology may not be your cup of tea, but could choose to do something special: a candle lighting ceremony, reciting poems, honoring deceased family members who are missed, having family members or friends make speeches or perform songs, etc. When you add something to the ceremony make sure to include it in your wedding program, along with a brief explanation of its significance.

As far as your reception goes, Andrea may be beyond your reach, but a good wedding singer or other live performer perhaps? Perhaps a local music school has a rising star? – you'd be surprised at how much undiscovered talent you might find.

But what about the fireworks? Ok if you can afford them. If not, but you'd still like to add in some fireworks, consider giving out sparklers to your guests or having sparkling fountains ignited before the your first dance. Firecrackers could be used as a noisy finale to the night's festivities as well.

And For Special Effects

Other 'special ideas' include: chocolate fountains, ice sculptures, performing magicians, releases of white doves, and bubble machines are just a few ideas to consider.

Just because you aren't fabulously wealthy celebrities, it doesn't mean your wedding is doomed to being drab and ordinary. Remember the one thing – besides spending more – that separates their celebrity wedding from ours is creativity. Have an open mind and use ideas like the ones above to make your special day even more amazing. And for, at least one day, you'll both feel like stars.

Honey has been used throughout the ages as a medicinal treatment for wounds and other topical skin conditions. We don't know just when early man discovered the healing properties of honey, but evidence has been found to indicate that honey was used as an antibacterial agent by ancient Egyptians thousands of years before bacteria were discovered to be the cause of infections.

One of our first written accounts of using honey as a healing agent comes from Aristotle, who wrote that light honey was a good salve for sore eyes and wounds. A Greek physician, pharmacologist and botanist named Pedanius Dioscorides, who practiced in Rome around the time of Nero, traveled extensively throughout the Greek and Roman empires in search of medicinal substances. He is famous for writing a five volume book, De Materia Medica, which is a forerunner to all modern pharmacopeias and continues to this day to be one of the most influential books on herbal remedies in history. In his writings, Dioscorides described honey as being "good for all rotten and hollow ulcers".

Honey was still being used to treat wounds up through World War II, but with the arrival of penicillin and other Twentieth Century antibiotic drugs, the natural antibacterial properties of honey have largely been overlooked. Until recently.

Today we are entering another age of enlightenment. We are enjoying a rebirth of natural remedies and ingredients in response to the risks presented by questionable chemical ingredients in products that include the food we eat, the containers we use to package our food, and most recently the cosmetics and skin care we regularly slather on our bodies.

Coupled with evidence that our super drugs and soaps are actually increasing the risks to ourselves and our children by stimulating the natural development of super-bugs – bacteria that are becoming resistant to even the strongest of our antibacterials – the shift to effective natural remedies is becoming a stampede.

Honey has been found to inhibit some 60 species of bacteria. It also exhibits an antifungal response on some yeasts and species of Aspergillus and Penicillium, two of the most common. Dr. Andrew Weil says in his November, 2006 newsletter Self Healing "Honey's antibacterial properties, due in part to its hydrogen peroxide content, help to quickly clear an infection and prevent new ones from developing. Honey stimulates the growth of skin tissue, reduces inflammation, and minimizes scarring, and it has the added benefit of creating a smoother surface between the wound and dressing. Since the wound is less likely to stick to the bandage, removing it is easier and less painful, and damage to the newly grown skin tissue is avoided."

"One recent review of 22 clinical trials concluded that honey typically shortened healing time on many types of wounds and provided people with better pain relief than antifungal creams or antibiotics (International Journal of Lower Extremity Wounds, March 2006). In Bonn, Germany, researchers found that a product called Medihoney (which is waiting for FDA approval in the United States) can heal some wounds faster than most antibiotics (Supportive Care in Cancer, January 2006). Medihoney is made of different types of honey native to New Zealand and Australia, including manuka honey, which has a particularly strong antibacterial effect. Honey can also be a useful treatment for people who have built up a tolerance to certain antibiotics. (I know of no evidence that honey helps to heal wound when consumed as a sweetener.)"

The study Dr. Weil refers to included 22 trials involving 2,062 patients treated with honey, as well as an additional 16 trials that were performed on experimental animals. Honey was found to be beneficial as a wound dressing in the following ways:

• Honey's antibacterial quality not only rapidly clears existing infection, it protects wounds from additional infection

• Honey debrides wounds and removes malodor

• Honey's anti-inflammatory activity reduces edema and minimizes scarring

• Honey stimulates growth of granulation and epithelial tissues to speed healing

The review article for the study was written by Dr. Peter Molan, director of the Honey Research Unit at New Zealand's University of Waikato. Dr. Molan says "All honey is antibacterial, because the bees add an enzyme that makes hydrogen peroxide, but we still haven't managed to identify the active components. All we know is (the honey) works on an extremely broad spectrum."

Dr. Molan's research has shown that honey made from the flowers of the Manuka tree (Leptospermum scoparium), a bushy tree native to New Zealand, has antibacterial properties that are much higher than any other honeys'. In fact, Dr. Molan estimates that active manuka honey could exhibit healing properties up to 100 times more than other honeys.

Dr. Molan says "In all honeys, there is, to different levels, hydrogen peroxide produced from an enzyme that bees add to the nectar. In manuka honey, there's something else besides the hydrogen peroxide. And there's nothing like that ever been found anywhere else in the world. We know it has a very broad spectrum of action. It works on bacteria, fungi, protozoa. We haven't found anything it doesn't work on among infectious organisms."

After nineteen years of research, the "something else" Dr. Molan refers to remains unknown. He has been unable to identify it, even while observing its presence by comparing the healing properties of other honeys with manuka honey. But he has given the unknown ingredient a name: unique manuka factor, or UMF.

Dr. Molan says UMF manuka honey can even handle antibiotic-resistant strains of bacteria. "Staphylococcus aureas is the most common wound-infecting species of bacteria, and that's the most sensitive to honey that we've found. And that includes the antibiotic resistant strains - the MRSA - which is just as sensitive to honey as any other staphylococcus aureas."

According to the University of Waikato, there are four main components that explain the natural antibacterial activity of honey.

1. Osmotic effect: The high sugar content of honey means that there are very few water molecules available making it difficult for micro-organisms to establish. In fully ripened honey, no yeast species are able to grow and the growth of many species of bacteria is completely inhibited.

2. Acidity: The pH of honey is characteristically quite low (3.2-4.5), which is low enough to inhibit many animal pathogens and therefore be a significant antibacterial factor.

3. Hydrogen Peroxide: When bees are turning nectar to honey they secrete a glucose oxidase enzyme. One of the by products of the resultant reaction is hydrogen peroxide. When honey is diluted enzyme activity increases giving a 'slow release' antiseptic at a level which is antibacterial but not tissue damaging.

4. Phytochemical Factors: The above factors cannot account for all of the antibacterial activity observed. There have been several chemicals with antibacterial activity isolated in honey (see Waikato Honey Research Unit's website for additional information) by various researchers. This may explain the high level of activity seen in Manuka honey.

The University's Honey Research Unit adds "Honey has an antibacterial activity, due primarily to hydrogen peroxide formed in a "slow-release" manner by the enzyme glucose oxidase present in honey, which can vary widely in potency. Some honeys are no more antibacterial than sugar, while others can be diluted more than 100-fold and still halt the growth of bacteria. The difference in potency of antibacterial activity found among the different honeys is more than 100-fold." Active Manuka honey has the highest antibacterial activity ever seen in a honey.

Apicare / Honey & Herbs Ltd of Auckland, New Zealand, recognized the healing benefits of applying manuka honey to the epidermis and created an entire line of products that incorporate the antibacterial properties to their best advantage. Apicare's lines of lotions, balms, creams, moisturizers, shampoos and conditioners all use Active manuka honey as a base. Not surprisingly, the results are as astonishing as the research would seem to predict.

2006 marks the first year that Apicare's Manuka honey personal care products are being offered in the United States. A is the exclusive distributor for their entire line of products in the US – which comprises eleven separate and distinct multi-product lines – all based on Active manuka honey. Consumers can find Apicare products in stores throughout the country and Apicare owner Pam Reade says, "If your store doesn't carry our products, just ask. They will soon."

Customers who are Internet savvy can purchase directly from the one website in the US that sells at the retail level directly to individuals – Vashon Organics. Senior Partner at Vashon Organics, Desiree Nelson, says "The Apicare line is simply incredible. We have never seen a product like this before – a personal care line that can repair your skin while it soothes and smoothes."

When you decide to go to Hawaii and spend your honeymoon there, the next thing you should do is to find an online site or a travel agent and search or ask for a Hawaii honeymoon package. You may ask: "What should a Hawaii honeymoon package include?"

Hotel accommodation.

When you book for a Hawaii honeymoon package, the second most important thing to consider is your hotel accommodation. Included in your Hawaii honeymoon package are the amenities you can get from your hotel. These include spa, massage, breakfast in bed, and exclusive dinner. How To Elope - Without The Upsets!

Posted by Wealth Group | 3:03 AM | 0 comments »

Generally, eloping tends to evoke negative connotations in the head of the bride-to-be and the groom, as they picture their parents, mothers especially, with a broken heart for decades to come. Do remember that nothing is impossible, even eloping and getting your parents' blessings.

Disadvantages of Eloping

When considering the option of eloping, there are several distinct and common disadvantages that are likely to emerge as a result. Namely, the mothers of the bride and groom, along with other family members, may feel hurt and take your abrupt actions as a personal offence. In addition, another noted negative aspect of eloping is the missed photo opportunities of numerous candid shots with family and friends on your wedding day.

Be Honest

Now, the good news is there are ways around these seemingly massive pitfalls. If indeed you have chosen to elope, effective communication and honesty will become your saving grace.

As soon as you have made your decision to elope, the time has come to approach your parents. Be prepared for an emotional reaction, and focus on the benefits of eloping. This is a good way to start the conversation. Be sure to mention the benefit of being able to reduce the cost of the wedding significantly. Not to mention, divorced or feuding parents and family members do not have to be accommodated.

Keep Mum Involved

Keeping your mother happy, even if you elope, means keeping your mother involved in your personal decisions for the elopement. Ask her to help you decide on the appropriate wedding dress. Keep your parents engaged with all the personal details and decisions you make.

You Can Still Have Guests

Even if eloping, you can still have a best man, main-of-honor, your parents, and choice close friends present. Additionally, you can always celebrate with friends and family later. Once you get back and are officially Mr. And Mrs., announce it to every one. Send out your announcements informing family and friends of your elopement. There is absolutely no sense in keeping any of it secret.

And Finally…

When and how you choose to celebrate is totally up to you. You can reserve your celebrations for your one-year anniversary, or you can choose a formal or casual affair. Eloping remains an exceptional and functional choice for those couples that simply cannot afford all the bells and whistles. Further, scheduling a delayed reception gives the newly weds an opportunity to save up for the reception, especially if the reception will be reserved for the first-year anniversary.

Adventure Honeymoon Ideas

Posted by Wealth Group | 7:03 PM | 0 comments »

Are you looking for a honeymoon that's a little different from the typical beachside vacation? You don't sit around at home, why should you do so on your honeymoon? Consider a diving trip to the Caribbean or perhaps a hiking trip to the Alps. Below are a few of my favorite choices for an adventure honeymoon:

1.Ecotourism in Costa Rica – Costa Rica, located in the heart of Central America, is rich with natural wonders. There are miles of uncrowded beach on both the Caribbean and the Pacific coasts, the Monteverde Cloud Forest in the central highlands, and the cosmopolitan capital of San Jose. The country is ideal for adventure seekers. You can swing through the tree-top canopy in the rain forest, windsurf on Lake Arenel – some of the best windsurfing in the world, enjoy fishing for swordfish and tuna, and hike the miles and miles of national park land. Costa Rica also specializes in self-sustaining resorts, a big plus for ecologically sensitive honeymooners.

2.Diving in Grand Cayman – The Cayman Islands, just east of Cuba, offers some of the best diving in the world. Grand Cayman, the largest of the three Cayman Islands, boasts dozens of dive sites as well as the pristine seven-mile beach and Stingray City, a unique stingray refuge where visitors can swim with 30 to 50 relatively tame stingrays. Accommodations on the island tend towards low-rise, mostly beachfront, condominiums. Nothing is too far away on this 22-mile long island.

3.Bicycling through Belize – Belize, on the Caribbean coast, offers quiet hillside retreats, stunning Mayan ruins, and undiscovered beaches. You can canoe into remote Barton Cove, an ancient Mayan burial site; stay in Francis Ford Coppola's exclusive jungle hideaway; and peddle alongside waterfalls, beaches, and caves. It's like being in your own Indiana Jones movie.

4.Heli-climbing in the Rockies – Experience the Canadian Rockies like few others have. A helicopter whisks you up to alpine meadows and inclines for a day or a half-day of hiking – or you can choose one spot in the morning and another in the afternoon. This trip is not roughing it, however. When you're not exploring Canada's beautiful mountain slopes, you'll be staying at one of the legendary Canadian Pacific lodges, noted for their elegant rooms, spectacular views, and gracious service.

5.Hiking in the Alps – Join a small group of like-minded adventurers for a trek through the foothills of the Swiss Alps. A typical week-long tour takes you through quaint mountain villages, to secluded mountain meadows, and up steep mountain passes. The average day's travel is about ten miles and in the evening you'll stay and dine in historic and friendly alpine inns.

6.Camping in Yosemite – The 1189-square mile Yosemite National Park offers over 400 campsites, ranging from primitive to fully-equipped. Yosemite is one of the National Park System's most dramatic, and ranges in elevation from 2000 to over 13,000 feet. Visitors can enjoy the park's over 7000 species of plant life and over 250 varieties of animals. Activities include climbing, hiking the over 800 miles of trails, rafting, and horseback-riding

How To Cut 30% Off Your Honeymoon

Posted by Wealth Group | 11:03 AM | 1 comments »

1.Plan Ahead – Contrary to popular belief, the best prices, especially on luxury vacations, go to those who plan well in advance. In fact, many better cruise cabins and luxury resorts just aren't available if you wait. Many cruise lines and resorts offer and early booking discounts. Airlines, too, reward those who book early, with lower fares and more desirable seat assignments.

2.Consider a Honeymoon Registry - Let your friends and family help pay for your honeymoon by signing up for a honeymoon registry. Similar to a department store registry for silver, china, or housewares, a honeymoon registry is sponsored by a travel company or agency and allows wedding guests to pay into a fund for your honeymoon.

3.Stay Close to Home – You don't have to necessarily go far from home to be romantic. Consider a night or two in your town's most luxurious hotel or charming bed and breakfast. What you save in airfare will buy a romantic dinner for two or perhaps even a suite. Most cities have attractions within a short drive – perhaps a wine growing region or a scenic lake or a natural attraction, like Niagara Falls. Just because it's near to home doesn't mean it won't make a great honeymoon choice.

4.Go Luxury, but Go Shorter – Do you have your heart set of that luxury resort or destination, but it's just outside of your budget? Consider booking a five-night stay rather than a seven-night one. You'll still get to stay at the resort of your dreams without having to settle for something cheaper.

5.Book an All-Inclusive Resort or a Cruise – Having your entire honeymoon expenses included in one price can really help to save money. Resorts, such as Sandals in the Caribbean, and ClubMed, worldwide, include accommodations, transportation, meals, drinks, watersports, and more – all in one prepaid price. No searching for an affordable place for dinner or trying to negotiate with a watersports vendor. It's all included. Cruises, too, offer a 20 to 30 percent savings over similar land-based vacations and include meals, entertainment, transfers, and accommodations all in one price.

6.Save on Meals – Three meals a day can really dip into your honeymoon funds – and who can resist all of those tempting dishes? Save on meals by preparing a few of your own. If you are staying in a condo, making sandwiches or a salad for lunch can save a bundle. Plus, you don't have to interrupt your beach time by dressing to go to the dining room. Even hotel rooms with just a refrigerator can accommodate such things as salads, deli turkey, and cheese.

If you're traveling in a big city, consider eating as the locals do: in New York, sample the street fare, in London, try a pub lunch, and in Paris, pick up a baguette, some cheese, and wine and head for the park. For beverages, stick to local beers and wines.

Exotic Vacation

Sometimes, it's not a whole lot of fun being a grown up. It seems like there's an endless cycle of stress, responsibility and dare I say it, boredom, about life for many adults. Whatever happened to those golden days of youth, when every day seemed like an adventure, with new horizons to explore? Well, life doesn't have to be like being a mouse on an exercise wheel - if you take action now and book an exotic vacation. There's no point endlessly waiting for things to change; you need to book the tickets and get ready to go.

Find Your Ideal Exotic Vacation

Finding ideas for where to go on your exotic vacation has become much simpler with the arrival of the Internet. All you have to do is surf on the web for an hour or two, and you're sure to come across a bunch of exotic places you want to visit. If you've arrived at a travel site and see "Mauritius" listed as a destination? Click on it, and find out more.

Another great source of inspiration is your local travel agent's office. They usually have a rack of glossy color brochures for people to browse through, so you can simply go in and have look. Check out the photos on the brochure covers until you see something that looks interesting, and then find out more. You can also try looking at the ads in your favorite magazines. Or perhaps buy or borrow a travel magazine, to see what exotic vacations they highlight.

You major daily newspaper will usually have a travel supplement once a week, so grab a copy and take a look. With 52 major stories needed every year, it's safe to say that at some point they will start to write about places that aren't on everybody's travel itinerary. So you can pick up ideas for an exotic vacation there. They also run lots of travel related ads, which can be useful both for getting destination ideas, and for finding companies that run tours to a place you want to go.

Picking the Best Deal

An exotic vacation can be anything you want it to be, which is what makes it so exciting. Nowadays there are so many options available, it's easy to find an exciting place to visit. Want to check out Transylvania on Halloween? There's sure to be a tour company that will take you there. Perhaps you'd rather just sit back and relax on a luxury cruise ship, with the occasional stop in port to check out another exotic place. Although you can choose to organize everything yourself as you go, sometimes it can be easier to book everything in advance, or travel with a tour company. That way you can focus on enjoying your vacation, rather than getting bogged down in the details of where you're going to stay the next night. You can often get better prices by bundling a number of things together, such as flights, car hire and accommodation.

Enjoying Your Exotic Vacation

Once you get started on planning your exotic vacation, you'll discover it's almost as much fun planning the vacation as it is to actually go! So don't put it off any longer; have a look around, find an exotic destination, and book your vacation now.

Get Married Or Honeymoon In South Africa

Posted by Wealth Group | 11:03 AM | 0 comments »

Making your wedding 'just perfect' entails a blend of factors, not least of which includes the dress 'to die for' and a great venue. With Cape Town, South Africa as the city of choice for your big day, you won't have far to look. Cape Town is the city of fair skies, gorgeous beaches, magnificent gardens and an extensive list of wedding and reception venues. Outdoor locations for wedding photographs abound.

Picture the oldest and largest botanical gardens in South Africa, Kirstenbosch, with the eastern slopes of Table Mountain as your backdrop. These gardens alone contain as many as 6 000 floral species and over 22 000 indigenous plants, so whatever your colour scheme and whatever season you choose, there will be blooms to augment and complement your style.

Early morning shoots are probably best for Cape Town's beaches as the Cape Doctor – another name for the spring and early summer south-easterly wind that prevails in the city - tends to make its presence felt in the afternoons, although with it comes Table Mountain's legendary table cloth – providing yet another perfect photo setting.

Nevertheless, you are spoilt for choice as the Mother City has some of the most picturesque beaches in the world with wide expanses of sand, sparkling water and strategically placed boulders for those 'photo' moments.

From the fashionable beaches of Cape Town's 'Riviera' – the Atlantic Seaboard – including Camps Bay, Llandudno (definitely one of the most beautiful) and Noordhoek with its miles of sand and dunes, to the beaches of False Bay offering some real character beaches, such as St James or Boulders.

The wine estates in and around Cape Town all have a unique beauty of their own. Invariably wine estates lie tucked into picturesque valleys, surrounded by majestic mountains and vineyards heavy with grapes during the summer months.

The Cape West Coast, until recently largely unexplored and unexploited, is a region of unrivalled beauty and geographical diversity. This area of the world is renowned for its spectacular display of wild flowers during spring, its unspoilt beaches and beautiful mountain ranges and picturesque little towns like Darling, St Helena Bay and the fishing village of Paternoster.

And if that doesn't tempt you then the Garden Route's shadowy forests, peaceful lakes and wetlands or the Overberg's numerous quaint villages and the dry Karoo with a sullen beauty all of her own – flat, sandy plains, shimmering heat and distant smoky-blue mountains – certainly will.

Thentix: What Is It?

Posted by Wealth Group | 11:03 AM | 0 comments »

This is a story of how someone disagreed with "the way things are".

Several years ago a friend of mine developed Thentix "A Touch of Honey" skin conditioner to handle some of his skin problems.

It is a new product on the market and I get asked about it constantly. The name "Thentix" is an odd name I'm told. I reply with terms like "Nivea" and "Noxema". Where did those names come from? Well, I haven't done the research on the origins of those (that will be the subject of another article) - the point being these titles were more than likely also grabbed out of a hat. Enough of that. Back to how Thentix was developed and why.

Partly due to diabetes my friend was plagued with various skin conditions. Cold dry Canadian winters causing dry skin in the extreme was also an incentive. And for these symptoms, skin creams and lotions abound. Any vanity that has any self respect will have at least 3-4 skin conditioners or lotions in or around its drawers. One for the hands, another for the face and of course you are not going to use the same one on your feet. These were generally found too this or too that. Some actually dried out the skin. The chemicals in others did more damage than good. And moisturizers didn't actually moisturize. The perfumes in some were unpleasant and who knows what odors they were hiding. For me – I know this article isn't about me but – for me, it was the greasiness. I often felt I had to hang my hands out to dry or wait an outrageous amount of time before I could touch anything because of the grease left on my hands. Specialty creams for some more serious skin problems can be terribly expensive. All in all, nothing was working and there had to be another solution.

Having used almost every moisturizer, healing cream and skin lotion on the market to no avail, he decided to create his own.

A cosmetic specialist was called in and extensive research was done.

The main criteria were:

o Hypo-allergenic

o Anti-fungal

o Antiseptic

o Gentle

o Healing

o Soothing

o And acceptable to the Olfactory sense (smelled nice but wasn't all perfumy)

Hundreds of samples and months of testing finally brought them a satisfactory formula.

Many ingredients were tried and the list that remained was extensive and seemingly effective. Honey being the main ingredient is known for its healing powers. Others, some obvious and some not went into the pot. Aloe Vera, something we've used for years right out of the leaf for cuts and burns was liberally added. Chamomile, calendula and Vitamin A and E also known for their benefits to the skin entered the mix. Three oils – Avocado, jojoba and safflower oil are also part of the formula but I challenge you to find this lotion oily or greasy in any way. Another oil, grape seed oil was added for its regenerative properties and replaced some less benign chemicals rounding out the effectiveness of this product. Part of what this product does is allow the skin to hydrate naturally. With most skin creams and lotions, if you wash your hands you have to reapply the cream. With this product you will find that the skin has absorbed the moisture and your skin will feel softer after washing. This is doubly amazing with the fact that most people wash their hands with soap (at least I hope so) and most soaps and shampoos have a drying agent, Sodium Lauryl Sulphate, in them.)

But the proof was in the pudding as the saying goes. For years he'd had horrible psoriasis and continuous skin problems with his feet – again partly due to the diabetes. Applying the now named Thentix to his feet 4-5 times a day, the cracked heels and the fungus on his toes cleared up. Thentix was also able to sooth the constant painful itching of the psoriasis.

This may be a good time to mention that Thentix will not actually cure anything. It will though, help relieve some of the symptoms.

So, there you have it. It is said that necessity is the mother of invention. In this case someone didn't agree that there was no solution to his problem and where billions of dollars are spent on cosmetics by major firms around the world go no or small effect, one guy decided to make something that actually got results.

Romantic Destinations in Kentucky

Posted by Wealth Group | 3:03 AM | 0 comments »

Kentucky is a hidden gem when it comes to beautiful states. Romantic destinations in Kentucky are a great way to enjoy intimate time together and fall in love with this state.

Romantic Destinations in Kentucky

The Bluegrass State, also known as the great state of Kentucky, is one of the south's most beautiful areas. The gorgeous mountain ranges, many forests and lakes make this state a perfect spot for couples who enjoy outdoor activities. If you love horses, Kentucky is an ideal spot as well. Churchill Downs, home to the Kentucky Derby, is a great spot to visit and experience even outside of Derby season. Of course, the intimate nature of the many historical spots (over two dozen) as well as important places like the Cumberland Gap make romantic destinations in Kentucky very special events.

The historical sites located within the state of Kentucky include such diverse spots as the Abraham Lincoln Birthplace National Historic Site and the Belle of Louisville, an authentic steamboat. The Cumberland Gap was discovered by the explorer Dr. Thomas Walker, and after it was found in 1750 hundreds of thousands of people were able to make their way through this easier route past the mountains. Couples who enjoy adventure can follow the same path these original settlers took – all 20,200 acres of it in the Cumberland Gap National Park.

One beautiful spot for romantic destinations in Kentucky is the Honeymoon Mansion Bed and Breakfast and Wedding Chapel, found in New Albany, Kentucky. Not just for couples looking to get married (although that is their specialty here at the Honeymoon Mansion), this ornate Victorian mansion is a great place for a romantic stay. It is on the National Register of Historic Places, and was built all the way back in 1850 – it survived through the Civil War! Located on "mansion row" in New Albany, the Honeymoon Mansion Bed and Breakfast is in good, perfectly kept company.

The rooms here at the Honeymoon Mansion are all restored to their Antebellum glory, with each of the rooms being named after a famous individual of the times. The luxurious Abraham Lincoln suite, for example, offers a couple looking for romance beautiful scarlet tapestries, as well as a queen size cherry wood bed and a marble Jacuzzi. For breakfast, all guests enjoy an all-you-can-eat sit down meal, with southern fare such as biscuits and gravy, home fries and different kinds of eggs. This sumptuous breakfast is served each morning in the Honeymoon Mansion's Breakfast Room.

If you and your loved one are in the mood for one of the romantic destinations in Kentucky, New Albany is a great town to fill your needs. With the many historic buildings and sites, as well as the beauty of the local inns and bed and breakfasts, you will definitely find what you are looking for.

For couples looking for a casual and relaxing marriage ceremony, the beach is the perfect choice. By its very nature, the beach is a beautiful place where you can sit back, unwind and enjoy the moment. A place where a sun-dress and shorts are considered dressed up, and a bathing suit with a sarong is the norm.

Imagine having your nuptials in a warm tropical setting. Gentle ocean breezes fill the air, the sounds of waves and seagulls in the background, the sun shining overhead, and soft sand beneath your feet. Next to you is the love of your life, passionately vowing their commitment and devotion to you.

Having your wedding on the beach is a wonderful way to set the mood for a romantic honeymoon. It is an intimate celebration that is convenient and carefree, the perfect way to start a lifetime together.

As more couples plan and pay for their own weddings, they want to have a casual unique celebration and combine it with their honeymoon. This is the concept of a destination wedding. For less than the cost of a traditional wedding, they can have a wedding and honeymoon with funds to spare. Couples can travel to a tropical location; stay in a luxury oceanfront hotel, have a beach marriage ceremony, and still have money left over for restaurants, dance clubs, shopping and attractions.

South Florida is a popular tropical destination for couples who want to combine their wedding and honeymoon, but do not want to travel outside the United States. For those who desire the laid back ambiance of the Caribbean mixed with the exciting energetic atmosphere of South Beach, Miami Beach is the ideal location.

Miami Beach has become a haven for tropical destination weddings because of its beautiful weather and amenities. It has many miles of lovely beaches with a wide range of hotels and accommodations overlooking the warm Atlantic shoreline. An abundance of world renowned restaurants, bars, dance and night clubs for vibrant evenings of food and entertainment. Water sports and activities like jetskiing, snorkeling, scuba diving, boating or para sailing to fill your days with fun in the sun. Trendy stores and shopping malls to satisfy all your shopping needs.

Relaxing by the water and sunbathing is a typical pastime. You may even catch a glimpse of your favorite celebrity during your stay. Centrally located between the Florida Keys and Ft. Lauderdale, Miami Beach is a great place for a romantic casual tropical beach wedding and honeymoon.

Planing For Your Perfect Wedding Day

Posted by Wealth Group | 11:03 AM | 0 comments »

Every couple wants their wedding day to be perfect. Unfortunately, that's a tall order, and at least a few things may go wrong. If that happens there is always a way to keep things flowing smoothly. The key is to stay calm and collected, and stay with the plan. The day belongs to the bride and groom, and whatever they want should rule the day.

It is important to chalk out your preferences, likes and dislikes before planning out the final details of your wedding. You would really have to be sure on what you want before you start making those final decisions that many times can't be reversed. Decide on these important 'must' have details with your fiance, talk about the budget with him/her and stick to the plans and decisions you take.

The first major decision to be taken is on the date of the wedding. If your plan is to get married in a church or any other institution then you have to be sure of the availability of the institution on that particular date, else you may have to go for an alternate date. Therefore it is important to have alternate dates so that you do not get overtly disappointed at non-availability of venue.

You'll need to plan your budget carefully. Use common sense when choosing some things for your wedding. Where possible think of ways where you can cut costs. For instance, if you want to hire a DJ to handle the music at your reception you might want to ask around to see if you know anyone who can do this for you at a low price.

Before making purchases for the wedding be ready with a list and the probable budget for each item in the list and while shopping stick to the list items and the budgeted costs. For different services/functions contact different vendors to be able to get best choice and price for that service.

Hiring a photographer is one of the biggest decisions in any wedding plan. Your wedding photos will capture your memories and be with you all of your lives. Visit several photographers and look at a number of sample photos. You may have some special pictures and you'll want to know before the wedding that this photographer can shoot them.

The next important issue you want to decide on is the number of people you want to invite to your wedding function. Be realistic and remain within your budget while counting heads for sending the invite. If your budget is tight then there is no point in having a huge guest list, so you will have to cut down on some names and limit only to those close family members and friends who are important to you.

After you have your headcount, you'll need to find a caterer that you can afford and who will be able to prepare the foods that you plan to serve. Remember that there is more to choosing a caterer than cost alone.

As you plan your wedding, you'll find that there's more to think about than you imagined. Since it could be easy to forget something, ask for some help. Have your bridesmaid or family member help you plan so that you'll include everything you want. It can also be helpful to have someone else help you with various decisions. One example is what type of music you want at the reception.

No matter what the planning of your wedding brings it's important to have fun and enjoy the planning of one of the most special days in your life.

It is funny now, but it wasn't at the time. The wedding ceremony and reception went well for my daughter and her husband. Then the problem came as they were ready to leave on their honeymoon. The bride and groom left the reception suitcases in hand. Guests cheered. The groom opened the trunk of the car and threw in the bags and closed the lid with a slam. Then there was a gasp. The groom had had the car keys in his hand. He put them down on the floor of the trunk when he rearranged the suitcases. The keys were locked in, and they were the only set available. What to do? The wedding had been held in a remote area to which no locksmiths could be called. It was also the Saturday night of the Labor Day Weekend. As it turned out, one of the guests owned an auto parts/wrecker business. He knew how to remove the back seat so a small guest could climb into the trunk and retrieve the keys. Problem solved, and the happy couple were off, a bit late, but off. The lessons here are to be sure you have two sets of keys available or don't let it bother you. Perhaps you could borrow a nicer car from the best man and and buy a new wardrobe!

While the words Transits and Progressions are quite different, there is a tendency among astrology students to muddle the meanings of these two fascinating aspects of astrology. Often they are used interchangeably, which sometimes causes some confusion as to what kind of effective power either has in influencing what one feels and experiences in life.

To begin with, Transits and Progressions both emerge from the same starting point for the individual. They both start from the natal chart and the exact positions they were in place when life began.

Moving forward, however, they both follow different concepts. The Transits move through the solar system along their appointed orbits, year in and year out. Every time a transit finishes a 360 degree cycle of the heavens, it begins again to repeat it in the next cycle. Thus, the transiting Sun returns to its same place every year, then continues on to repeat its next cycle.

Progressions, on the other hand do not function this way. Starting from the natal birth degree they move forward in relation to the birth chart in a much slower way than the Transits.

To see this, consider the difference between the Progressed Moon which moves approximately 1 degree a month, and the Transiting Moon which moves approximately 1 degree every 2 hours.

In another example, the Sun Transits all 360 degrees of the zodiac once each year, yet if we Progress the Sun, we only progress it one day for each year of life or approximately 1 degree a year. Again, the Progression is much slower than the Transit.

Yet, a far greater difference between Transits and Progressions has to do with the fact that in the instance of transits, our natal planets remain fixed in the original stamp of our birth. Progressions, on the other hand, while not ignoring our original natal placement, make the assumption that as our life goes forward, so too do we, and as a result- experience on some levels progressed degrees, further along than our birth degrees.

Thus, the Progression is an overlay, or another layer that while not ignoring the natal degree position, acts as what experiences the individual is becoming familiar with in life, in addition to their starting degree.

Karmically, the person evolves from their natal degree with the possibility of learning and earning all the potential in the ensuing degrees that their progressions take them to.

Imagine if you will, an individual born with their Sun at 29 Scorpio. This would indicate a very high degree of evolvement in the Sign. Since there are only 30 degrees in a sign, the Progressed Sun, in this instance, would leave Scorpio and enter Libra when the individual is approximately one year old.

For the next thirty years, it would progress through Libra, even though the individual is still a Scorpio. As a result, the person, karmically finishing their Scorpio lessons early in life, because of attaining a high degree of learning in these lessons in past lives. In this incarnation they are now learning how to refine, and use all their intense depth and understanding in more social ways as a partner to humanity because of how their Progressed Sun teaches them through Libra experiences.

All through life, the individual will feel the Transits, and even though their Progressed Sun would be in Libra, they would nevertheless feel any transit over their 29th natal degree Sun in Scorpio, which stands during their entire lifetime as their blueprint for this incarnation.

However, as each year gives them Progressed experiences of Libra, they learn to deal with life with Libra overlays to the Scorpionic root source. They grow more cultured and refined in how they deal with Transits and are much less volatile and over-reactive than they would have been if their Sun were at an earlier degree in Scorpio, which would not progress into Libra until half a life time later.

Thus, the Transits and Progressions, because they are quite different, both work together in their different ways, to help explain how an individual karmically learns to evolve towards a more fulfilling and complete existence.

Honeymoon tips and must haves

Posted by Wealth Group | 3:03 AM | 0 comments »

So your wedding is over now the fun begins. Of course, it is your honeymoon. Although your honeymoon can be a real hassle if you are not prepared for the worst. Below I have put together a small list of items that you might need.

1. Take all your medication with you that you feel will be necessary to your well being.

2. If you are traveling to a foreign country remember that their electrical outlets most likely will not be the same as yours. So make sure you prepare for this or you most likely will not be able to use your electrical items.

3. If you are traveling overseas or out of the country you will need passports and or visas. Make sure you have these items way in advance. In the time we are living in now security of you and your loved one should be the number one factor so be cautious of where you are traveling.

4. Pack the right clothes for the environment. Take extra shoes for the formal dinners, flip flops for the beach and coats for the cold.

5. If you are traveling to a foreign country make sure you go to your family doctor and get his suggestions on any vaccinations you should get.

6. If you wear contacts or prescription glass have a backup. If not your vacation will be ruined.

7. Make sure you take all of your health insurance information just in case of a medical emergency.

8. Make a list of your traveler's check numbers just in case they get lost or stolen. Do not keep these in your purse or wallet.

9. If you are traveling overseas before you bring anything home with you check with the local government officials or search the internet to get the guidelines of what you can bring back.

10. With all of the bad weather going on these days make sure you are prepared. Take flashlights, candles, extra batteries and perishable foods. Take anything you feel that would help you in such a moment of crisis.

Flowers For The Beautiful Bride

Posted by Wealth Group | 11:03 AM | 0 comments »

These days there are innumerable options for your wedding day hairstyle. It's not surprising that many brides find it difficult to choose the perfect hairstyle on their wedding day. It's a good idea to return to the traditional style of adding flowers to your hairstyle. Considering the number of modern innovative ideas, the good old style will, perhaps, hold more charm and stand out as unique.

Wearing flowers in hair is an age old tradition. In fact, the brides used to pay more attention to their hair than their dress. They decorated their hair with buds and blooms from fragrant flowers. These beautiful flowers were considered to be living tokens of good luck and prosperity.

For brides of a budget, using simple flowers in a hairstyle is a great deal less expensive than choosing a costly headpiece or veil. These extra items can run up a substantial bill in addition to the dress and any necessary under garments for the big day. Instead, ask your florist to order a few choice stems and have your hairstylist incorporate these blooms into your style.

Of course, the flowers you choose for your hair must be in tune with the theme of your wedding. They should go well with your dress and other accessories. Also, don't overdo it; use only a few buds in order to frame your face and not overshadow it. If you have the time and money, you may want to do a trial run a few days before your wedding to give your hairstylist an idea of what you want.

If you're going in for an informal wedding, you may want to incorporate flowers in your wedding theme. Some brides use entire wreaths or combs of flowers in their hair to present that personal and informal touch. This is really beautiful during the spring or summer when the air is rich with fragrance and flowers are in abundance.

To keep in tune with the theme of flowers on your wedding day, have your bridesmaids include flowers in their hair instead of carrying a traditional bouquet. Make sure that the colors are in harmony and don't forget to don your flower girl with flowers. They often wear a halo of blooms as they carry a basket of flowers. You will be surprised at the stunning effect.

Imagine how lovely it would be instead of throwing a bouquet, you tossed a ring of flowers. This is an incredible way to personalize your ceremony and reception while adding beauty and elegance to your wedding day attire. If you choose to wear a veil, flowers can easily be incorporated into the headpiece or even sewn into the veil itself.

The ideas are boundless when it comes to adding flowers to your hair style. Whatever your desired look, it will surely be achieved with help from nature's beautiful and colorful blooms. Check out wedding books and magazines for potential styles or access the World Wide Web for an abundance of information. The right style is out there for you! Find your perfect flower encrusted style and it will be the highlight of your outfit.

Honey -A Surprise Healthy Christmas Gift

Posted by Wealth Group | 7:03 PM | 0 comments »

Honey as a gift? Isn't honey sort of, well,...ordinary? And doesnt all honey taste the same?

Yes, No and No.

A quality honey won't come as as a bland mix from made by bees fed sugarwater. As a present or treat, why not pick a honey from

hives where honey bees have grazed on one type of flower, giving a honey with distinct flavor, colour and possibilities.

Premium honey is more expensive, but you are paying for a unique yet versatile product. There are hundreds of honeys out there and

even the same flower will produce subtly different honey flavors from different hives. !

There are three main kinds of honey, light medium and dark. Generally, the darker the color the stronger the taste. Whatever the type,

undiluted honey stored properly capped in a cool dark place will keep indefinitely. If it crystallises, stand the jar in warm water with

occasional stirring until the honey clears.

Here are just some of the more popular and widely available specialized honeys.

Light Honey:

Clover- flowery and great in hot drinks like tea. Look out particularly for White Clover. Simmer clover honey diluted (with herbs like

mint or rosemary),to make superb pouring sauces over baguettes and

Alfalfa-Its mild flavor goes well in custard tarts and making softer cookies and moist cakes

Sage-No doesnt taste of sage (very mild) but still goes well with cheese and crackers, or drizzled on to a salad with vinegar and virgin

olive oil as a sweet and sour dressing. Another honey like Tupelo that doesnt granulate readily. so it will stay pourable a long time.

Medium Honeys

Tupelo. A popular choice, Tupelo honey has a deep long lasting flowery/herbal taste, and sits well on a biscuit. High in the sugar

fructose so it's unlikely to 'go gritty on you. Also Tupelo is the honey likely to be most suitable for diabetics

Blueberry Lovely lemony smell and fruity taste. A great topping for scones or blended with yoghurt as a snack.

Orange blossom Sweet tangy citrus fruit taste. Versatile and ideal in a frosty smoothie, creme fraiche, trickled over crepes or

Roquefort cheese, or spread on toast.

Dark Honeys

Buckwheat. Strong flavor with plenty of malt and molasses. and healthy anti oxidants The natural base for a barbecue sauce or

mustard dressing. Or Make your own honey glazed ham.

Avacado Honey - A rich smooth taste. Marries effortlessly with peanut butter, and as a fish glaze.

Eucalyptus - Mild Herby flavor and menthol aftertaste and scent. Complements lamb dishes.

Wildflower.Blend from varied wildflower sources Powerful floral flavour which like its color can vary a lot. Gives zest to marinades and

dressings

More honey hints

Like a really distinctive honey flavor ? Try these: dandelion, chestnut, goldenrod, black sage, spanish needles. You can buy your

specialized quality honey additionally as honey comb ( chewy!), spun or cream honey ( honey blended with comb for easier

spreading) or raw and unpasteurised honey for full goodness. Just check your local food markets, delicatessenss and health stores.

Never feed any honey to a child under one- it can make them very ill. From then on, a specialized honey - especially if seasonally

wrapped, with plenty of handy honey hints-makes a healthy delicious unusual and longlasting gift for almost anyone at Christmas...or

any time of year!

Second Honeymoon in St. Thomas

Posted by Wealth Group | 11:03 AM | 0 comments »

Hey, remember that honeymoon you and your new spouse took oh so many years ago? Wasn't it wonderful? The romance? The walks on the beach? The kisses under the moonlight?

Now, if you're thinking, "yeah, those were the days," then you and your beloved are due for a second honeymoon. That's right, a second honeymoon. Who said romance and spontaneity has to go away just because you've been married for awhile. Newlyweds don't corner the market on romance, you know.

So, now that you're warm to the idea of a second honeymoon, it's time to pick a place. Let's see, where shall it be? Now, if you're steering towards packing up the kids and taking off to the Grand Canyon, stop right there. This is not a family vacation. It's a second honeymoon, and one unofficial rule of a second honeymoon is NO KIDS! Not that there's anything wrong with kids. And yours are probably cute and adorable, especially in their little footie pajamas. But, cute, adorable and footie pajamas don't belong on a honeymoon. They belong back home with grandma and grandpa.

One spot you might consider for your second honeymoon is probably one you and the family wouldn't consider for your family vacation, which makes it even more perfect for your honeymoon. May I suggest St. Thomas, one of the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Well, of course, being an island, St. Thomas can't help but be a romantic place to stay for your second honeymoon. And, if you want to be pampered, you might consider staying at one of the fine Spa Resorts on St. Thomas. Below are a couple of Resort Spas of note:

The Wyndham Sugar Bay Resort & Spa

340-777-7100

The award-winning Wyndham is one of St. Thomas' most popular all-inclusive resort spas. What does all-inclusive mean? It means that many amenities are included in one package, which usually helps cut down on costs. Amenities like:

*All Meals and Snacks

*All Beverages - including premium liquor and house wine

*All activities, recreation, entertainment and non-motorized watersports, which includes tennis, basketball, beach volleyball, windsurfing, kayaks and snorkeling.

*Access to the Fitness Center

*Taxes and Gratuities - that's right, no tipping required.

There is an additional Spa Package for those who wish to avail themselves of the spa facilities.

The Ritz-Carlton, St. Thomas

340-775-3333

Another great resort on St. Thomas is the Ritz-Carlton, undergoing a $40 million renovation and enhancement project, to be completed in December 2006. The Ritz-Carlton is located on a 30-acre estate overlooks the water and white-sand beaches of the eastern tip of St. Thomas.

Those going on second honeymoons might be interested in their "Reconnect Package" which includes ocean front accommodations, daily breakfast for two, and one half-day Lady Lynsey sail for two guests per stay.

No matter where you stay on St. Thomas, do venture out and explore the wonderful beaches that St. Thomas has to offer. While your resort probably has its own private beach, you should take the opportunity and explore all the other public beaches as well.

Coki Point

A small, yet popular beach with calm waters. Coki Point is great for boat, jet skiing, scuba diving and snorkeling, with onsite beach rentals of equipment.

Magens Bay

A very popular beach, often thought of as the best beach in all of St. Thomas. You have to pay for its popularity, however. There is a small entry fee. Another place for sailing, snorkeling and kayaking.

Secret Harbor

Interested in diving? Then head out to Secret Harbor, which is considered ideal for diving. An onsite dive rental shop can assist you with equipment.

Lindquist Beach

An undeveloped beach with no equipment rental or food stands. If you want to get away from the commercial beaches, this is the place.

Wherever you stay, or beaches you visit, take time to relax and rediscover one another. Who knows, maybe you'll decide to renew your vows at the same time. Does that mean you then will go on a third honeymoon? Hm, well, there's an idea.

Diane McCalley is the creator of Honeymoon Vacations, where you can learn about such things as Cancun Mexico honeymoon.

It is easy to set your honeymoon and it is easier to find a location for this provided that you have an idea where to go, what to do, and how much money you want to spend. However, this does not automatically mean that you can get a romantic honeymoon. All your money, place, and things you have prepared are all useless if you and your partner would not make them work for.

So how to make your beach honeymoon extra romantic? Let us count the ways…

If you set your honeymoon at a beach (which a normal couple would do), make it extra romantic by booking for an exclusive night at a villa on a secluded island. Some resorts and hotels have this amenity where you and your couple can enjoy. An overnight stay in an island with no other people around you will surely give you the privacy and the freedom to do everything you like and enjoy each other's company both of you have all been dreaming of.

Set a romantic dinner where your favorite music is played. You can also arrange for dinner beside the beach with musicians at your side. The open air, the calmness of the sea, the sound of the waves, and the clear night sky plus the romantic music would all conspire to create the most unique and romantic dinner for both of you.

Instead of letting one of the staffs of the hotel to bring your breakfast at your bed, wake up early in the morning and request the chef to let you help for the preparation of the food. Personally deliver them to your room and great your partner with a warm kiss and sweet words.

Have her favorite flowers to be delivered to your room everyday so that every time she wakes up, she can see different sets of flowers. No lady can resist the thoughts of you bringing her flowers every morning.

Book for the most romantic suite and pamper her with the best services you can give. Treat her like a baby. Treat her the way she wants to be treated. Women are very emotional so letting her feel that she's being treated with outmost care is greatly appreciated.

These are some of the things you can do to make your honeymoon at the beach extra special. One more thing: Let your partner become clueless on your actions and surprise her with something sweet.

How To Choose An Air Purifier

Posted by Wealth Group | 7:03 PM | 0 comments »

Today's air purifier technology is so complex, most consumers do not know a thing about how it works and what to look for in an air purifier. I will explain some of the common terms you probably hear when buying an air purifier and what to look for.

MERV Rating

The MERV (Minimum Efficiency Reporting Value) Rating is a standard used by most air purifier companies to measure the efficiency of their air purifiers. It is an industry standard among air purifier companies so you can safely use this rating to compare different brands of air purifiers.

The MERV rating is from 1 to 16. Generally speaking the higher the merv rating, the more efficient is the air purifier. Most air purifier manufacturers will indicate the MERV rating on the box itself. A rating between 6 to 12 is considered good and should meet your needs.

The CADR Level

The CADR (Clean Air Delivery Rate) Level is another industry standard used to measure the rate of delivered clean air. So how do the air purifier manufacturers measure the clean air delivery rate and arrive at the numbers? It is measured by measuring the processing air volume of the 3 most common contaminants in our atmosphere. They are smoke, dust and pollen.

For each contaminant, the higher the CADR level, the more efficient it is at processing the contaminant. So you should pick an air purifier with high CADR numbers for all three components.

Another factor that you should consider before purchasing an air purifier is the air filter. This is one of the items you will need to replace often and so you may want to check the prices of an replacement air filter.

There are also some retailers who sell generic air filters. They are generally cheaper than original air filters but quality wise may not be that good.

My recommendation would depend on whether you are considering to purchase a more expensive air purifier or a cheaper one. If you are going to purchase a better air purifier, then use original air filters as they are more reliable and will not damage your air purifier. On the other hand, using OEM air filters may not be a bad thing if you are purchasing a cheaper air purifier.
